Chapter 6

Before I begin, I just want you say that this is the chapter where there's a twist, where a lot happens that is important and crucial. When I said it all led up to something I meant this chapter.

Also....I ALMOST DIED!!!!! Well sorta. A man kept banging on our door screaming we're gonna die, and we filed a report to the police and the said they were gonna come and they didn't. But the man looked at me dead in the eye, his eyes full of pure hate that I've never seen before. I've only seen that man once before. He wanted to come in or make sure we were inside because I hid in the balcony and he went and saw me there.

Anywho....on with the story!

I'm still scared though. :(

.....................................................................

"YAY!"

That was the sound that could be heard all over the ship as Ezra ran around, euphoric after being told he could go on his very first actual mission.

"Ephraim, are you sure about this?"

Mira leaned on the doorway, glancing at her son nervously after hearing her husband's answer.

"Don't worry, Mira. Kanan and the others said this is one of the less dangerous missions and that they'll look after Ezra. Besides, we'll be there too remember? If we all look after there's little chance anything could happen to him."

"I know it's just..." Mira glanced at Ezra, who was currently jumping up and down talking to Sabine, "I just don't want him to get hurt, he went through a lot already."

A hand was placed on her shoulder and she looked back to see Ephraim with a stern look on his face.

"Whatever happened to trust in the Force?"

"The Force didn't help us when the Empire raided our house."

"Then trust in me." And with that, Ephraim walked foward and said,

"Come on Ezra, let's get you ready for the mission."
........................................................................

The mission was simple.

Kanan, Zeb, and Ephraim would go raid an Imperial building while Sabine and Mira worked on a diverion. Ezra would tag along, and help place bombs on Ties, crates, and anything else he could find. Once the men placed the bombs inside, they would run out, hopefully without any Imperials chasing. If they did, they would be shot down.

The plan was simple.

The mission was simple.

The mission was simple.

The Rebels didn't expect for Kanan, Zeb, and Ephraim to run into half a dozen at the entrance, and another dozen at the exit, and leave the building with all their bombs.

The Rebels didn't expect for an Inquisititor to be at the building, waiting there.

The Rebels didn't expect the while mission to be a set up, a trap.

The Rebels didn't know it would only go downhill from there.

........................................................................

That's all for today! Just kidding I didn't want to leave you hanging. This might be longer because of that. Continue!
..............................................................

"Ezra!"

Mira ran to her son as blaster fire broke out. The Inquisititor stood at the doorway, staring at the Rebels, studying them. Zeb and Sabine shot at the incoming bucketheads, Ephraim and Kanan ignited their lightsabers. The Inquisititor, did the same.

"Mommy!"

Kallus entered the battle, challenging a lasat once more. More stormtroopers poured on, but they were quickly shot down.

"How interesting." The Inquisititor said. "Two jedi. Such a rare find these days."

With that, the Inquisititor lunged at Ephraim, who stumbled back, rusty from all the years of not training.

Kanan immediately entered the battle, helping Ephraim by distracting the Inquisititor so he could recover.

It all went downhill from there.

Ezra screamed as a blaster bolt hit him dead in the shoulder. Ephraim got distracted as he heard his sons wails and turned. Taking advantage, the Inquisititor threw down his lightsaber and Ephraim, who again had been distracted, wasn't prepared for the light sword that sliced him.

Their reactions happened in mere seconds:
Kanan's eyes widened, Zeb balled his hands into fists and growled, Mira gasped, Hera readied her pistol, and Ezra let out a bloodcurling scream.

Mira ran and wrapped her arms around her son, as they fight continued. Ezra was sobbing, calling for his daddy, wanting to run toward him but Mira holding Ezra back.

"DADDY! DADDY!!"

"Calm down Ezra calm-"

"DADDY!!!" Ezra stomped his foot and thrashed around, trying to break free of Mira's grasp but failing. Tears welled Mira's eyes as she saw the boy.

"E-everything will b-be al-lright."

Now Mira was sobbing with Ezra.

And she thought she was the strong one.
...................................................................................

Kanan slashed his lightsaber towards the Inquisititor.

The Inquisititor simply deflected, using the Force to push Kanan into the wall with a 'humph!'

"And I thought jedi were actually trained to fight sith."

He then glanced at Ezra, who was crying in his mother's shoulder having calmed down a bit. Calmly, he closed his eyes and held his arm out towards the boy. Ezra suddenly jerked his head towards the dark side user.

That was all the Inquisititor needed.
