After showering, I found some towels in a cabinet and wrapped one around my body and another around my hair. I swiped my hand over the steamed up mirror. My eyes travelled over my appearance. I looked exhausted; my skin was paler than usual, my eyes lacked their usual glow and my lips were chapped. I sighed, deciding not to spare the mirror another look, as it only made me feel worse again.

With my head through the space between the door and its frame, I checked if the bedroom was empty. As I expected, it was, and I quickly strode through the room, towards the closet. Again, I was met with a pleasent surprise, as the closet was full of clothes, all around my size. How they got my size, I didn't know, but I didn't think give it much thought. I'd rather wear this creepily fitting clothes, than wear my own dirty clothes. I ended up with a dark green sweatshirt and ripped skinny jeans, just the first pair I found.

Before I walked out of the door, my eye caught a glimpse of my reflection once again. A frown find its way to my face, as I examined the flaws on my makeupless face. I usually had makeup on to raise my confident, but now I had nothing to hide behind. I knew it shouldn't be a problem, I surely did not have to look good for my kidnapper, and it annoyed me endlessly that I still wanted to. Something in me wanted Emanaul to find me attractive and interesting.

"Get a grip," I muttered and shook my head, before leaving the room.

The house was silent. I wondered if I was alone, but as I walked down the stairs, I head the television playing, which answered my question. I was surprised to see the other guy from before sitting next to Sarah. They both had their head turned my way, as if they had expected me right at that second.

"Hey, Kristen. This is Calvin." She motioned her hand towards the guy, who smiled warmly at me. His smile was contagious and I couldn't help but smile back. I had to admit, Calvin was really attractive. I started feeling more insecure, due to everyone looking like they'd just stepped off a catwalk, while I looked like something the cat dragged in.

Calvin patted the seat next to him on the couch, and I hesitantly sat down beside him. Not knowing what to do, I slowly leaned back, still completely stiff.

"What would you like to watch?" I sat still as Calvin asked. I assumed it was meant for Sarah.

"Kristen?" He waved his hands in front of my sight, which was locked on my hands. My face heated up as I realised he had asked me. What would I like to watch? I turned my head up, looking at the screen. He was scrolling through a bunch of movies, and I found out he was on Netflix. I shrugged.

"I don't know." My eyes turned back to my hands, as I spoke.

"Alright, then we can just talk. Kristen, tell us about yourself." Two pair of eyes were now on me, discomfort filled my body. My eyes drifted around the room, trying to avoid meeting their gazes.

"Umm, what do you want to know?" I asked, hoping their following questions wouldn't be too personal. I didn't want them to know about my past.

"What do you do for fun?" Sarah asked me. I thought back to the times were things got too much, where I'd take my sketchbook and go to the small forest. Drawing put my mind at ease, something I desperately needed in times like those. I wish I had brought the sketchbook with me, I could use something calming like that.

"I like to draw, I guess." I sounded unsure with my answer, as this wasn't a question I got asked often.

"That's nice. What about family, do you have any siblings." This question made me silent. I had always wished for a sibling. Someone to share every secret with. But I was still glad I was an only child, so nobody else had to go through what I did.

"No." I shook my head. Sarah gave me a sympathetic look, and I hoped it meant she wouldn't ask anymore questions. They began to talk with each other, leaving me to happily sit for myself. Discreetly, Calvin scooted closer to me, his thigh touching mine. I shook off my confusion, he probably didn't mean anything by it. That was till he arm found its way around my shoulders. I tensed and knitted my eyebrows together. What was he doing?

He turned his head towards me and gave me another warm smile, softly squeezing my shoulder. I noticed Sarah glancing at the arm around me, her eyes looked somewhat concerned. They continued talking though, which I didn't mind one bit.

I was lost in my own thoughts, when I heard the front door open. Calvin quickly withdrew his arm, and greeted Emanual, who just walked into the living room. His eyes went straight to me and I blushed under his sight. I didn't know why, but with his eyes on me, I felt so loved. Which didn't make much sense, Emanual didn't love me. I mean, why would he?

Hey! sorry for ending the chapter like that, but i just wanted to update this before i went to england for five days :)

I changed the cast a bit, so Emanual is now played by Andrea Denver (you can of course imagine whoever you want). I just thought the other guy looked a bit too young and I also found out he's actually Brazilian.

thank you for reading this! And the goals of the last chapter were reached, yay! Goal for this chapter is:

30 reads and 4 votes :)
