There's a guy. Matthew Bryant. He's a wonderful guy. I would love to give him my heart, but the problem is, you took it with you to wherever it is you went, to wherever the hell you now are. My heart is there with you. And because I only have one. It means you beat Matt to it. I want to be able to love Matt, I really, really do. You should know Arlando, that his heart's going to be broken because you broke mine, and its a wicked chain reaction, but I hope his heart mends better than mine. I pray he doesn't hurt like I have.

Kathleen spared Matthew Bryant, the first thought she had spared him in over a year. Then she burned that letter too.
She decided not to read anymore letters. It was just too damn depressing. She was putting herself through a rollercoaster of emotion, the emotion felt in every letter, the emotion wrapped up in every word was too much to handle all over again, and too much to handle all at once. Reading the letters had been a bad idea.
