PHILIDEPHIA June, 16 1775

"...and for the support of the glorious cause.  I beg they will accept my most cordial thanks for this distinguished testimony of their approbation.  But, lest some unlucky event should happen, unfavorable to my reputation, I beg it be remembered, by every gentleman in the room, that I, this day, declare with utmost sincerity, I do not think myself equal to the Command I am honored with.  As to - "

"Truly, there is no man better suited to the task." Sam whispered to us

"Really? I can think of several." Came a voice from behind us

"Charles Lee." Connor stood and turned around

"Do I know you?" Charles asked

I Stood in a flash and grabbed Connor's arm Trying to pull him away.

"Connor, come on stop this, not now." I whispered but he ignored me

"I would not expect you to remember." Connor snarled

I motioned for Sam to help me, Sam got up and helped me pull Connor away.

"Come Connor, - there's someone I want you to meet." Sam struggled to hold Connor since Connor was bigger then him.

"Sorry to pull you away like that, but the last thing we need is you two coming to blows."

Connor watched as Charles walked out and he finally calmed a bit.  I still kept a hand on his arm.

"He's right, and who knows what we would unleash if we killed him, also no one knows our motives." I Said calmly

Connor, Heather, Allow me to introduce you to our newly appointed Commander-in-Chief, George Washington." Sam Introduced

I had to take a deep breath to keep my jaw from dropping to the floor.  Sam shook George's hand.

"Ah! so your the two who saved Sam and John at Lexington." he greeted

"It was the Patriots who did that. We merely lent support." Connor said

"As humble as he is brave.  We could use more men like you." He nodded and shook Connor's hand

He turned to me.

"I have heard some of the things you have done as well, quite remarkable." He shook my hand

I smiled

"I'm sorry, if you'll excuse me - I should attend to Charles over there.  He looks none too happy about being passed over for command."  He told us "It was good to meet you two."

He walked over to where Charles was and we turned back to Sam.

"Tell me you have news on Pitcairn." Connor kept his voice low

"I'm told he's taken shelter in Boston, where he's guarded by a thousand Redcoats. The only way your going to get at him, is if we draw him out.  Lucky for you, we're launching an offensive against the city in order to do just that." Sam explained "Israel Putnam has been given command of our forces, present this to him and he'll provide what ever aid you require.  You'll find him at the encampment on Bunker Hill" Sam handed us the note

"You have my thanks." Connor said

"And mine."

"No need. It's the least I could do.  Pitcairn's a dangerous man.  The sooner we get rid of him, the better." Sam told us

"I would say the same of Charles Lee." Connor looked over at them

"Now that's an altogether different beast.  Let us leave  it for another day.  Best you head two Boston."
