I think I may need to forget you today.
Looking at my life as if from the outside
looking at you, as out of my reach as the highest cupboard
I think I need to forget youI've spent days dwelling on you
countless hours of pondering your existence
and the years that have come and gone
they scream profanities at me
then speak of my future without youOne can only learn through change
you have taught me of love and loss
determination and fruitless efforts
it's funny that you would still trouble me
in all existence we will only ever be simple things
two floating souls that just happened across one another
in our endless search for truth.
