Unexpected Love

Back of the truck

He lays his head on her lap and she wraps his curls around her finger.

"I talked to my parents.." He looks up at her.
"Oh.. How did they take it?"
"Well it's was hard on my mom but I just told her that I love you and Chris very very much, and all I want is to make you two happy. Also that I can't imagine life without you."
"Awe baby! What did she say?"
"She said it was okay with her then."
"And your dad?"
"He was just proud." He says as they both laugh.

Evan turns his head to the side and kisses her stomach.
Then he sits up and pulls her in for a kiss.
He brings his hand down her boobs and grabs them in his hand.
He starts to rub her through her leggings.
"Ah." She moans.
She grabs his hand to stop him and says, "Honey stop, Chris is upstairs."
He kisses her neck and says, "And we're downstairs.." While breathing hot air onto her neck.
"Babe come on, we can't do this down here." She pays his arm.
"Oh god, woman!" He scoops her up and takes her upstairs.

That night when they had dinner with his parents everything went great.
Evans mom fell in love with Jessica and they both just adored Christopher.

Two weeks later.

"Ready to go, Pookie?" Jessica wraps her arms around him from behind and kisses his cheek.
"Yes! Chris, let's go!" He calls him down.
"I'm ready, is this okay? I've never been to an OBGYN before."
"Hah! It's okay honey, what you're wearing is perfect." Jessica laughs.

On the drive over Christopher looks out the window and says, "I'm not gonna see any.." Uh... Vagina, am I?"
"Christopher!" She gasps and turns to him in the back.
"Well I'm just checking."
"No I'll be covered up, don't worry. They'll just check me really fast and you don't even have to be in there for that part. Then they'll do an ultrasound."
"Okay.."
"What's wrong?"
"Nothing.."
"You seem nervous." Evan says.
"I am."
"Why sweetie?" Jessica asks.
"I don't know... I'm about to see my little brother or sister for the first time and... I don't know.. I'm excited, I'm nervous and I hate doctor offices." He chuckles.
"I know, I guess this wouldn't be the best time to tell you that were actually taking YOU to the doctors office for your shots!" She lies.
"Mom!"
"Haha! I'm just kidding!"

When they get to her appointment and call her back Chris sits in the chair next to Evan.
"How are you feeling, Ms. Lange?"
"Pretty good, thanks."
"Good, any morning sickness?"
"Yes but it's definitely calmed down."
"Oh and is this your son?"
"Yes, this is Christopher, say hello Chris."
"Hello ma'am." He stands up and shakes her hand.
"You are such a gentleman!  Are you excited to be a big brother?"
"Yes, very!" He smiles.

The nurse throws a sheet over her then checks to see if everything's alright.

"Alright let's lift up your shirt and see this baby." The nurse says.
Evan pats Chris on his should and says, "Go stand with your mom."
"Alright." He nervously stands up.
Jessica smiles and holds her hand out for him to grab.
Evan stands up and stands behind them.
The nurse puts the cold jelly on Jessica's belly and starts the scan.

They hear a beautiful strong heartbeat.
Christopher's eyes light up, "That's the baby's heartbeat?"
"Yeah." Jessica smiles.
"Oh my gosh..." Chris says as Evan bends down to kiss Jessica's forehead.
"And right here... This little thing the size of a kumquat, is your brother or sister." The nurse points to the screen.
"Oh my gosh... There's really a baby in there!  It's inside of you!" His eyes widen and he looks at Jessica's stomach.
She and Evan laugh and Jessica says, "Yep!  There's a little baby in there!"
"Oh my gosh mom!"
"What sweetie?"
"You're pregnant!"
"Haha, yes I am baby!" She nods and smiles as he bends down to kisses her cheek.
She pulls him in for a long hug.

Throughout the rest of the day Christopher just stared at Jessica, "Chris stop, you're freaking me out."
"I'm sorry, it's just weird... Like that baby's gonna have to come out!"
"Really?  I thought they'd stay in there!" She says sarcastically with her hand on her stomach.
"Are you scared?"
"Terrified.. But it's a good terrified.  Chris when I had you, I seriously thought your were going to kill me!" She chuckles.
"But once that baby's out.. You forget all about that.  Plus this time it'll be different... It won't be in the back of your dads truck."
"I WAS BORN IN THE BACK OF DADS TRUCK?!" His jaw drops.
"Haha!  Yeah, I guess we never told you about that, did we?"
"No you didn't!  But I thought dad wasn't there?"
"He wasn't, he took my car that night and was at a bar so when I started having contractions I called him but he didn't pick up.  I called your grandmother and asked her to take me to the hospital and on her way to the house her car broke down and she ran to the house as fast as she could." She laughs.
"Why have I never heard this story?"
"Oh I don't know!  But anyway, when she got there she grabbed the keys to your fathers truck and it took about 10 minutes to get me up onto that thing!  Once I was in there, I guess it was too much of a work out that my water broke all over your dads truck!" She laughs.
"Gross!"
"It's not gross!" She hits his head then adds, "So then my contractions were even more intense and they lasted so long!  When we were about fifteen minutes away from the hospital I grabbed your grandmothers arm and yelled, PULL OVER!  HE'S COMING!  She yelled back and said, JESSICA WE'RE ALMOST THERE!  SQEEZE!" She laughs.
"So then what happened?"
"Well then I felt you crowning."
"What's that?"
She holds up her hands so he can get an idea of what she's talking about and says, "It's when the baby presses down on your vagina and it feels like a ring of fire!  You were pretty much pushing yourself out Chris."
"Oh god!" He grabs his head.
"So then I yanked my pants off and my mom was yelling at me and said, JESSICA WHAT ARE YOU DOING?  I said, I'M MAKING A FUCKING PIZZA!  I'M HAVING A BABY, WHAT THE FUCK DO YOU THINK IM DOING?!" She laughs.
"I just kept telling her that I needed to push, then I finally started climbing to the back.  She pulled over and got in the back with me and told me to push, so I pushed with every single muscle in my body and POP goes your head!" She giggles as Christopher listens with wide eyes.
"One more big push and you were out... And I completely ruined your dads truck, so it was a great day!" She smiles.
"Oh my gosh.."
"And since that day, you've been the love of my life!  I love you baby boy." She gives him a hug and kiss on the cheek.
"I love you too mom, thank you for going through all of that just for me."
"Oh baby, it was worth it!  Oh I forgot!  In the middle of all that craziness your grandmother managed to set up a video camera, so you can watch it if you'd like."
"Haha, maybe later."
Jessica laughs and hugs him tight.
