Unexpected Love

Christmas Eve

That night they had the entire cast plus some friends over for Christmas Eve.

"Ooh looking gorgeous, momma Lange!"
"Thank you, Zach!" She hugs him.
"Do you mind?" He asks lifting his hand to her belly.
"Not at all, go ahead!" She pushes her stomach closer to him.
"Oh wow, it feels so weird!"
Jessica laughs and says, "Tell me about it! From this end it feels a baby doing somersaults in my belly from morning till night!"
"That's crazy!  So how far along are you?"
"I'll be 33 weeks in two days."
"Damn it's going fast!"
"I know and I'm terrified!"
"Aw, why Jess?!"
"It's been a long time since I've given birth or had a newborn.. and I've never had a girl so I don't wanna screw it up."
"Jessica, you're gonna be great!  Your little girl is gonna look up to you and see what a true lady is supposed to be.  Your momma bear instincts will kick in and it'll be a breeze."
"Aww!  You're gonna make me cry!  Thank you, sweetie!" She hugs him.

Later during the party.

"You okay, Jess?" Sarah asks when she sees Jessica in a corner by herself with her hands on her stomach and taking a deep breath.
"Yeah I'm fine, just ate too much so she's a bit hyper!"
"Awe!  Are you being bad for momma?" Sarah baby talks to her stomach and rubs her belly.
"Just a little wild!" She chuckles and presses the top of her stomach while taking a deep breath.

She looks over at Evan who is dancing, singing and drinking with everyone.
Jessica scoffs and says, "Look at him! He's such a mess!... He's my mess." She smiles at Evan with pure love in her eyes.
"I love seeing you like this." Sarah says with a smile.
"Like what?"
"Happy."
"I am happy." Jessica smiles and stares at Evan.
"Well that's good. You deserve it."
"Yes I do!" She laughs.

"Hey my little, baby momma!" Evan dances over to her.
Jessica laughs and he says in more than tipsy voice, "Look what I found!" He pulls a mistletoe out from behind his back.
"And what are you gonna do with that?!" She laughs.
"I want you to pucker up and kiss it!" He jumps around and wiggles it on his butt.
"Haha! Very funny! Nice Grinch humor, babe." She chuckles.
"No but really, give me a kiss!" He raises it above his head and leans in to kiss her.
She grabs him and lets her tongue dance with his.

"Alright I'm right here!" Sarah says moving her arms around but they're too distracted with each other that they don't notice.
"Alright I'm going!" Sarah says walking away.

As they kiss, Jessica's stomach was pressed against Evans and the baby starts to kick. "Whoa!  Someone's kicking daddy!" He breaks the kiss and looks down.
Jessica laughs and looks at her belly.
"Someone doesn't want daddy kissing mommy, does she?" He laughs.
"Ooh!  Evan feel here!" She moves his hand to the other side of her stomach.
"Oh my gosh, what is that?!"
"I think it's a foot!  Haha!  I don't know!"
"She's just stretching everywhere!" He says pressing her little foot.
"Ooh she didn't like that!" Jessica laughs as the baby kicks Evans hand hard.
"No I don't think she did!" He laughs.

Jessica's phone rings and it's Sam.

"The fuck does he want?" She looks at her phone and rolls her eyes.
"Who is it?" Evan asks as Jessica turns her phone so he can see.
"Let me answer it."
"No Evan, your a little drunk and I don't want you to say anything stupid."
"Jessica!" He gasps.
"I'll just let him leave a message."

Sam had left a message asking if he could see Chris for a while on Christmas.

"What are you gonna tell him?"
"I'm gonna talk to Chris first and see if he even wants to see him.  I'm not gonna push him if he doesn't want to go."
"That's good.. Just don't let him stress you out.  You need to stay relaxed for the baby."
"I know.." She sighs and puts her hand on her side.
