Wesley's POV
I finished getting my shower that Saige didn't join me in. I threw on some sweats and a loose shirt that I had left in Saige's room long, long ago. I walked downstairs and saw Saige crying in the kitchen.
"Babe! What's wrong?"
"Don't do that, Wesley," she cried.
"Did I do something wrong? Babe, please tell me what's going on," I begged.
"Why did you lie? Elijah didn't threaten you before you left for tour, did he? So what was it, Wesley?"
"What are you talking about? Who told you that?"
"It doesn't matter who told me! Why did you break up with me before you went on tour?"
"Saige," I stuttered, lost for words. I didn't want her to find out this way. She looked at me, waiting for an answer. I have to tell her the truth. I'm done lying to her.
"This is not a good way to start our relationship, Wes, so don't you dare lie to me," Saige warned.
"Alright, Saige, I'm done lying. The truth is, every time I've been on tour and have a girlfriend back home, they always get jealous of all the fan pictures, all the girls, I don't know, stupid stuff. I just didn't want that to happen between us. I wanted you to come on tour, but management said no. I didn't know what else to do."
"You should've been honest! Wesley, lying gets you nowhere in a relationship, and you out of all people should know that."
"I know, Saige, I know. I wanted to tell you, before and when I came back from tour, but we had just seen each other, and you - you were pregnant. It was so much to take in. I'm sorry. No more lying, I promise," I told her. She shook her head and laughed a little, tears still coming from her eyes.
"I don't even know why I'm crying. I'm sorry," she chuckled through more tears.
"Shh, babe, it's okay. You're having mood swings, and I made you upset. Don't be sorry," I cooed, pulling her close to me for a hug. She calmed down after a minute of being in my arms. I kissed her forehead and let her out of my grip.
"Let's go do something. I want to make it up to you. I really am sorry. We should drive to Seattle, go out to eat, maybe get a hotel room," I suggested.
"I'd rather stay home, get takeout, and watch movies," she chuckled.
"As long as I'm with you, I'll do anything," I winked, knowing she hates cliche things like that. She rolled her eyes playfully and let a chuckle escape her lips.
"Please never say that again," she said.
"Only if I can have a kiss out of it," I grinned. She giggled and puckered her lips. She kissed the corner of my mouth, barely touching my lips, leaving me so unsatisfied. I pulled her waist back towards mine and our lips smashed together. They moved in sync as neither of us wanted to stop.
"You're the best," I mumbled against her lips.
"Oh trust me, I know," she whispered back, her hot breath meeting my lips with every word. I miss her touch, probably as much as she misses mine.
"Mom and Dad probably won't be home until later because they had some Christmas work party, so we're alone until then. I'll get some blankets and order takeout, you pick out some movies," she instructed. I did as she said and picked out a couple movies.
She ordered some Chinese food and grabbed some blankets. She waddled over to the couch and laid aligned in front of my body. I pulled her close to me, gentle enough not to hurt her or the baby, and wrapped some blankets around us.
"I can't quit thinking about the baby," I told her while we were waiting for the previews to finish up.
"Me either," she agreed, "you know, I'm very proud of you."
"Why?"
"Because I honestly thought you were going to freak and leave me after you found out. I didn't think you'd be supportive because we're so young, and you have a life and career," she explained.
"Saige, you're my life. This baby will be my life. I would never leave you just because you were pregnant. I don't want any child of mine growing up without a dad."
"Good because I didn't either," she smiled. I pressed my lips softly to her forehead. She curled up closer, if possible, to my side, and we watched the movie.
We got through a couple movies and finished our food within three hours. We decided to go outside and walk around for awhile.
"When are you leaving?"
"What do you mean leaving?"
"Going back home," she chuckled.
"I haven't decided yet. I was planning on staying here for quite awhile, but since we should go back and look for a place, I'm thinking sooner than I thought."
"Wesley, you don't have to go back just because of me," she told him, even though I know she wanted me to be there with her.
"Yes I do! I'm not letting my pregnant girlfriend stay in Cali all by herself. No way," I assured.
"But your family should mean more to you than your pregnant girlfriend. Plus I always have Mari. I've been fine the five months you weren't here."
"You and this baby are my family, Saige. I'm not letting you there alone, whether you like it or not. You know if I was home, let alone knew about this, I would have been there Saige. You can't deny that. I'll always be there for you, and there's nothing you can do about it."
"Okay, okay, but the only reason I'm saying you can stay longer is because pregnant girls do have mood swings, and I don't want to start us off on a bad note," she said defensively.
"And I'll have to learn to deal with it. If we're going to be a couple and work together in this, I have to find a way to overlook your moody attitudes. I can take it, babe," I chuckled.
"Good, but it's getting really cold out, can we head back?"
"Yeah, of course, let's go," I insisted. We headed back and came home to her worried parents.
"Saige! We were looking all over for you. Why didn't you answer your phone?" Her mom was panicked.
"Mom, we just went on a little walk. I was with Wesley. Nothing was going to happen," she assured her.
"I didn't know that! Maybe if you had just answered your phone I would have," her mother sighed.
"Well we're going to bed now, okay. I'm walking right up these steps, going into the third room on the left, and getting into bed. Got all that?" Saige sarcastically told her mom.
"Sorry, Mrs. Jackson, it won't happen again. I promise I'll take good care of her," I quickly said before she could respond to Saige's sarcastic attitude. I scooted Saige to the stairs with my hand on the small of her back.
"Your attitude is kinda hot," I chuckled teasingly into her ear. She laughed and walked up the stairs, leaving me to trail behind her. I followed her up and changed my clothes as soon as I got up there. I helped Saige get ready for bed and lay down beside me. I leaned over and pecked her cheek, letting my hand rest on her belly.
"I love you, like, a lot," Saige sighed, putting her hand on top of mine.
"I love you a lot too, Saige. I can't wait to see where life takes us together," I whispered, and that was the last thing said before we both dozed off.
