Saige's POV
I woke up for the fifth time this morning to baby Michael crying and screaming. I had no idea why my mom was so tired all the time, but now I know why. It's so exhausting, but there's nothing I love more than seeing his precious little face. Life is just so different, but it's a good different.
Wesley and I moved everything into our new house about two weeks ago. It's such an amazing place. I'm so grateful that Wesley found it. He had even put up a nursery in one of the rooms. It was adorable how much he thought this out.
I went into the nursery and gently picked Michael up from his crib. I shushed him and whispered sweet things while his crying seemed to be quieting down. Wesley accompanied me and took him from my arms. His crying immediately stopped and a smiled became plastered across his face. I sighed and smiled at how well Wesley was with him already. He just has a magic touch with kids.
"Babe, go lay down, I got him," Wesley insisted.
"I love you both," I whispered, kissing them both on the forehead and turning to leave. I went and laid back down, but there was no use. It was already turning daylight, and I wasn't getting back to sleep. I decided to get up and go out for a walk. I need to start losing this pregnancy weight somehow.
"I'm gonna head out for a quick walk. I'll be back soon," I informed Wesley, who was still sitting in the rocking chair in the nursery with Michael. He nodded sleepily and gave me a kiss goodbye. I walked out the door with a bottle of water and started off walking fast. I gradually turned my walk into a slow jog until I hit three miles. I decided to sprint my other three back, and although I thought I was bad, I wasn't as out of shape as I thought.
I arrived back home all sweaty and gross. I cleaned myself up a little because I felt disgusting. I looked in the nursery after I saw Wesley wasn't up yet. He was in the same position I left him in, except Michael was in his crib, wide awake, gazing at the toy hanging from the ceiling. I chuckled to myself and picked him up.
"Hey baby Michael, you wore your daddy out, didn't you?" I cooed in a baby voice. Wesley's eyes drowsily opened as I saw a smile creep upon his face.
"Yes, he did ware me out," he sighed sleepily, getting up from the chair.
"Go back to bed," I giggled, giving him a kiss on the lips as he walked past me. As I carried Michael to the living room, I heard a knock on the front door.
"Coming!" I called, going to the door as fast as I could with a baby in my arms. I opened the door and my parents walked in. Wesley sleepily peeked his head out from behind the door of our room. He shut it back up when he saw who it was.
"It's been a long night," I explained.
"Get used to it, Hun," my mom chuckled. She scooped Michael from my hands and took him to the kitchen. She grabbed a bottle and started to feed him. They want to get as much time with him they can before they leave next week. They're staying at our old house that my dad rents off in the summers or whenever now.
"Has Mariana or anyone been over lately? I'm sure little Michael is getting tons of love?" My mom asked.
"Mariana is here all the time," I chuckled, "as for Drew and Keaton, they live in our little studio, so we see them more than once a day."
"Oh, good," she cooed, rocking Michael in her arms. They looked so precious right now. My dad soon took him from my mom and instantly shut the rest of the world off. He was in love with his little grandson.
"We're going to head out, but we might stop back later. Love you," my dad said, handing Michael to me hesitantly. He got two kisses on the forehead, and I got none until Wesley woke up. He made us breakfast while I breastfed Michael.
"You know, this is nice. Having our own little family, and our own house. I love it so much," Wesley said while we were eating breakfast.
"Me too. I'm so glad we worked everything out. But what happens when you have to go back on tour? I'm sure you'll go back on the road sooner or later," I brought up.
"Babe, you know I love you. We'll work it out when the time comes. I promise you it won't be like last time, though. Maybe you and Michael can even come to a couple shows with us."
"Yeah, I'd like that a lot, and I'm sure Michael would too," I smiled. We finished eating and cleaned up. Michael was in his crib sleeping since he was up all night.
I decided to take this advantage to get a shower. I hopped in real quick, only to find Wesley climbing in with me. I turned around and there he was, naked and irresistible, in the shower with me.
"Babe, please don't look at my disgusting body. It's not easy giving birth and still looking good," I chuckled. He instantly wrapped his arms around me without thinking.
"You're so beautiful, Saige, please don't say that," he whispered sweetly. He planted kisses along my shoulders as he rubbed his hands up and down my arms.
"I love you," I whispered, turning around to face him. I pulled his face down to me to kiss me as the water fell over both of our bodies. He smiled when he pulled away and let his fingers linger on my cheek.
"We should get out and make sure Michael isn't up yet," I said, breaking our moment. I turned the water off and grabbed my towel. I quickly got dressed, feeling self conscious even if Wesley did say I was pretty.
I went to check on Michael, and he was wide awake, but not crying luckily. He's so ornery already, and I can tell he's going to be just like his dad. This parenting thing is such a blessing to me, and I love it so much.
