Wesley's POV
I was sitting down in the living room, listening to everyone's pointless conversations. I had been watching Saige all night. I missed her gorgeous brown eyes and beautiful smile. I can't believe I let that go so easy.
I was studying every inch of her newly developed structures. She was a bit chunkier than before, but it was cute on her. I couldn't help but think about how I created that little bump in her stomach.
I saw her glance over at me, so I quickly looked away. I didn't want her to catch me staring at her. She got up and walked outside. Drew shortly followed her out there, and I couldn't help but wonder what they were doing.
I waited awhile to go see, so it didn't seem like I was being nosy. I finally gained the courage to walk out to the balcony. I slid the door open and abruptly stopped when I heard Saige talking. She didn't even notice I was at the door.
"That was his fault, Drew! He broke up with me, and he left me. I was left to think I did something wrong in our relationship. Not only that, but he left without me even getting the chance to tell him about the baby," she sternly argued with Drew. I felt my heart break. I thought she forgave me? I slammed the door shut and walked back to the living room.
I sat down for awhile, trying to figure out why she's still mad. I know I was a dick, but she's the one that said something about still having feelings for me when I came here. Is she just covering so I'll still stay and support her and the baby? Maybe that's why her family is being so nice? Do they really think I'm that low of a person that I'd abandoned her.
Saige and Drew walked inside, trailing slowly into the living room. I didn't look up at them until I heard Saige whisper my name. She motioned for me to come here with her finger.
I followed her up to her room, and she shut the door behind us.
"Wesley, I didn't mean for you to hear all that like that. Drew was making me angry, and I just blew my top. I guess I wasn't ready to forgive you earlier. I just wanted you to know how I felt."
"Are your feelings for me still real?"
"What do you mean, Wesley?! Of course they're real," she said.
"Then I don't care whether you're mad at me or not, tell me what you want to say. I'm all ears," I instructed, wanting to hear her side of this mess. She took a deep breath and let out her steam. She ranted about how she was upset how I'd made her feel after I left.
"Saige, I will do anything for you to make this okay. I love-" she cut me off.
"I know you will, Wesley, but I don't want you to do anything except promise me one thing."
"Anything," I pleaded.
"You won't leave me or this baby anymore without everything being okay," she said.
"I promise," I agreed. She smiled and pulled me close for a hug. I tilted my head and softly pecked her forehead. I figured everything was going to be okay, and now I'm sure of it.
