Saige's POV

Wesley and I drove home with Mari, Drew and Keaton last night. Wesley insisted I stay over at their place, but I denied his offer because my comfortable bed was at my place, so he compromised on staying at mine.

"Hey, babe, you hungry? I'll make you some breakfast," Wesley asked, peeking his head into the small room of Mari and I's three bedroom apartment.

"Yeah, actually, eggs sound really good, but I don't think we have any," I told him glumly in hopes of him going to get some.

"If you can wait a few minutes, I'll run and get some," he answered. I smiled and nodded. I heard him leave the apartment, so I got up and went to Mari's room.

"Look who's up and ready already," I surprisingly said.

"Yeah, I woke up to your boyfriend making noise in the kitchen. What made you two make up anyways? We never had time to talk much about what happened back home."

"Um, well, he kinda figured out I was pregnant, and he insisted he'd be here for me. We both still love each other, so I decided I have to let him back in. I missed him too much."

"He made a dick move by leaving you though. You don't think he's just back in it for the baby, do you?"

"I didn't before now. Why do you?"

"It just kind of adds up weird. He figures out you're pregnant and automatically wants back in your life. I don't know. He obviously has to love you somewhat because I heard he cried after he left you," she gasped.

"He cried?"

"Yeah! Drew told me he was a wreck," she gossiped.

"I feel bad, but it was his decision." We were cut off by the front door opening back up. Drew walked into Mari's room and smiled.

"Hey, babes! How are my two favorite ladies?"

"Hey, Drew, Wes went to get breakfast if you wanna stay," I told him, standing up and walking past him. I gave a peck on his cheek and walked out to our tiny living area with the sofa. I plopped on the couch and grabbed my laptop to start my paper that was due next week. We only have four more days off for winter break.

"Are you really starting Davis's paper? It's not due until like next Wednesday," Mari scoffed as she passed me.

"Well I actually care about how I do in his class, unlike someone," I sarcastically answered her.

"Drew and I will be back later, we're going on a hike," Mari quickly blurted before slamming the door shut. It really sucks not being able to do what my friends are doing. I would never be able to go on a hike in my condition, and I really wish it wasn't this complicated. I'm excited to have this baby, but I'm also scared because all of my friends will want to go out and party, but I'll be stuck at home watching my baby. It's my fault really, though. I should've been more smart with my choices.

"Babe? You okay?"

"Yeah, fine, why?" Wesley snapped me out of y thoughts.

"No you aren't, Saige. What's on your mind?"

"I just feel like everything is so wrong," I cried, letting it all out. Wesley hurriedly put the grocery bag down and rushed to my side. He engulfed me in his arms and cooed sweet things in my ear. I hate these mood swings.

"What do you mean? What feels wrong?"

"Everything. This baby, us, I just-" I couldn't talk because I was so choked up. "Why can't things just be normal?"

"I don't want things to be normal. Not with me and you, Saige Jackson. I love you to the moon and beyond, and I wouldn't trade you for anything."

"I don't think we're ready. We're both still young. We have our lives to live. You're not going to want to have to take care of a baby when all of your friends want to go out, and you can't. I have school. I need a job. We can't do this yet, Wesley."

"Saige, stop having second thoughts. We're having this baby. You're going to be an amazing mother, and I will be here every single step of the way, right by your side. This was a choice we made, and we can't take it back now. It's done. We just have to embrace it and adjust the best we can," Wesley encouragingly said. I stopped crying as he wiped my final tears. I cupped his face in my hands and smashed my lips onto his.

"You always know exactly what to say," I whispered sweetly against his lips. We both smiled, and for once, I knew everything would be okay.
