I stood up with Devin after Pan had told us that Felix's team won. I wasn't surprised at all, we hadn't even begun to figure out which tree they had hid there cloth in and they knew exactly where ours was. Devin stretched next to me.
"Well, better luck next time, huh Layla?"
"Yep," I agreed with Devin, "But next time your coming up with the hiding place, because I can't play these games well."
"You just need practice. Plenty of practice," he teased me and I gave him a glare.
"Don't give anyone any ideas."
"I make no promises."
"No, of course not," I commented and he gave me a mischievous smirk as I laughed at him.
"Thank goodness that is over," Tinkerbell exclaimed walking over to me.
I looked at her, "I bet you actually enjoyed the game! Come on, admit it!"
Tinkerbell gave me a glare, before her face cracked into a smile, "Alright, it was a little fun waiting for someone to win."
"I knew it, I knew it," I said smirking at her. She rolled her eyes and laughed.
"Wow, Layla, your such a show off," Devin said and Tinkerbell laughed even more. I looked at him in a fake shocked expression.
"Oh, Devin, that hurt. I'm not a show off," I stated in a really girly voice and he laughed at me. I chuckled as well, happy to see them both having a good time. I honestly think Devin is becoming a really good friend for me and I want him and Tinkerbell to get along, which wasn't really hard, they just needed to get to know each other.
I looked over at Felix, who was still talking to Pan. I still couldn't get my mind to grasp how much had changed between us. I didn't get this angry feeling in my stomach anymore when I saw him and we could have normal conversations together, even though sometimes we didn't know what to say. Like yesterday we had spent the whole afternoon just randomly talking and there were plenty of moments when we had nothing to say. I'm sure it's hard enough being friends with someone you used to hate and hated you, but something more is a little hard to get used to.
Suddenly, Felix laughed and I couldn't help, but smile. Him and Pan were like brothers, I'm not surprised Felix is second in command. When he finished laughing and said something else to Pan, he caught my eye and smirked at me. It was a nice smile and I smiled back. It may seem a little selfish, but I hoped he finished talking to Pan soon, so he'd come talk to me.
"Earth to Layla, come back from love-land," Tinkerbell said waving a hand in front of my face.
"I think it's too late. We've lost her," Devin told her and Tinkerbell laughed. I looked over at them both.
"You guys are so funny," I said and they both smiled at me.
"We can't help it if we don't know when your lost in your imaginations about Felix," Devin responded.
"Yeah, you two seemed to be so lost in each other from that one smile," Tinkerbell agreed in a mocking voice and placed a hand over her heart. Devin and her continued laughed.
"Oh don't you start teasing about this too, Tinkerbell," I warned her.
"Too late, it's too much fun."
I threw up my hands in frustration when a hand suddenly snake around my waist from behind and someone kissed me on the cheek. I knew it was Felix instantly and I couldn't help the blush that rose one my cheeks.
"Aw,"Devin said and I glared at him. He smirked, one of these days he's going to get it.
"Devin, maybe you should go with the other lost boys and get the fire going at camp. Oh and take the fairy with you. She might be of some help."
"Oh, alright. I'd hate to ruin your romantic moment."
Devin and Tinkerbell walked off into the direction of the camp, talking together. Mission accomplished, they were becoming friends and Tinkerbell talking to any of the lost boys was a challenge within itself.
When they were a distance away, I turned around to face Felix, he had this mischievous look in his eyes. I knew he was planning something.
"We're not going to help them with the fire?" I asked slightly curious, but mostly wanting to start a conversation.
"No, they are perfectly capable boys and your a girl. You might break a nail," He responded, teasing me. I lightly pushed him on the shoulder and he chuckled.
"Congratulations on the win, by the way, but I'm sure your used to them."
"Yeah, can't help being the best," he said,"But I have lost a few times."
"Oh my, that's a shock."
"I know so unlike me, but when I do win I like to celebrate it sometimes."
"Oh, really? Are you planning on celebrating it this time?"
"Well, I was thinking I deserved a kiss for being the winner," he gave me a mischievous smirk and I knew where he was going with this.
"Its too bad I was on the losing team though. Then maybe you could celebrate your win. Better luck next time," I responded with a smile of my own, but Felix didn't loose his own smile. Instead, he wrapped his hand around the back of my neck and brought our face closer together.
"Its too bad I wasn't asking for permission," he said before closing the distance between us with a kiss. I kissed back immediately, not actually meaning my comment before. Felix didn't just kiss me once though, we shared one long kiss and then we began kissing over and over again. My heart increased in speed so much and my stomach had a million butterflies in it. Felix's one hand remained on my neck while the other went on my side. I had one of my hands in his hair and my other hand laded flat on his chest.
My knees started to become weak as Felix's hand tightened on my waist and our bodies were about as close as we could get; I could feel his body heat. We broke away for a short moment, panting and out of breath, but I reconnected our lips when we both regained some of our needed air.
We kissed a few times more before I felt Felix bite my bottom lip, I gasped in surprise and his tongue entered my mouth. This also surprised me, but I enjoyed every moment as he dominated my tongue and our kisses became incredibly intimate.
When we pulled apart again, Felix rested his forehead against mine panting as I also regained my breath. I couldn't help but smile and I felt his hand move from neck to running his fingers through my hair.
"That was," Felix started, but stopped mid-sentence still panting.
"Wow," I completed for him and he smiled as well, closing his eyes as we stood there, foreheads pressed against each other and breathing hard.
