When the going gets tough, run right? Wrong! I can't run, not now. Not when I've finally broken out of my social prison. Not when I was sitting next to Beverly at the popular kids' lunch table. Yes, I went to lunch!

I couldn't help but cosy up next to the cute guy on my right side. He was telling me all about what his family has from fancy cars to a huge indoor pool, but I wasn't really listening. I was too lost in his ocean blue orbs.

All feelings of guilt about Casey from last night were gone. I was relieved that we had different lunches so he wouldn't know I was busy canoodling with mr hotshot being served the better food than any other table in here!

Yes, the populars had their own menu. I didn't believe it at first, but then again, money can buy A LOT. And come on! Mr what's his name over here looked like Chris Hemsworth had a baby with Megan Fox!

The lunch bell rang and I got up quickly to get to my next class. I was a bit embarrassed to find everyone else relaxing in their chairs and staring at me.

"Uhh, you're not going to class?"

"Oh don't be silly Lily!"

Beverly was becoming increasingly irritating. I used to think that she was actually really sweet, but her true colors were starting to show, and they were not pretty shades.

"You roll with us now. We have extended lunch."

What? They had both lunch periods? Wow. In a way I was honored, but I couldn't help but hate them a little bit for it. I wasn't truly one of them and I didn't understand how it was fair that they had such privileges. But for the time being, I didn't care!

Yay being cool!

But there was one problem. This was Casey's lunch. He was going to see me, here, with them.

I can't let that happen! Mr blue eyes carried on rambling about his large inheritance as I sipped nervously on my lemonade, keeping my eyes on the cafeteria entrance. He would be so mad that I ditched him and now, completely replaced him.

Here comes the guilt again. It rose slowly and sickeningly and I wanted to dash out of there.

"So Lily..."

I was snapped out of my worrying thoughts by a girl's voice. I looked across me to Coco, a girl with an auburn pixie cut, straight nose, brown eyes and plump lips. She had a very supermodel look about her. I'd seen her around before but I've never come close to talking to her.

"Tell us about yourself." She raised a brow and smirked.

It was evident that half the girls on this table didn't trust me one bit and weren't open to the idea of me being here. I'd busied myself with Mr blue eyes to avoid their glares, but now they couldn't be more daunting.

All eyes were on me, and I hated it! I mean I hate the 'tell us about yourself' thing. I don't even know about me! How ridiculously pathetic. I was getting nervous. I wiped my fringe away from my damp forehead and cleared my throat, forcing a smile.

Okay Lily, no biggy. Tell them about yourself!

"Well, I'm 16-"

"No shit..." She cut me off immediately which startled me. I was embarrassing myself.

"Come on, just give her a chance."
