Today I helped my mom clean out the garage. I found some old, too-tiny clothes, a Barbie-themed scooter, and these hot pink leg warmers that I used to think were just the bomb-diggity.
Mom found some of Jane's old trophies from track, reminiscing about the days when Dad used to run with her every Saturday morning, while Mom and I stayed home and painted each other's nails. Then they'd come home, and we'd all have chocolate-chip pancakes and play monopoly. It was a Baker family tradition.
I also found this old Walkman that you gave me for one of my birthdays. The mix in it was full of all my favorite oldies. When Mom and I were done, I snuck it up to my room and listened to it on repeat as everyone else fell to sleep.
