Y/N's POV
The next few days were fruitless when it came to finding my necklace. I had searched everywhere I could for it. The hangar where the party had been was closed off, restricted access now, but I had looked everywhere else, to no avail.
Piett could tell something was wrong. I had been slumped around, worried about my mother's necklace and its location. He tried to reassure me, but it never really worked.
"I'm sure it'll come up at some point, Y/n. You have to have hope."
But by now, four days had passed since I lost it and there was still no sign of it. I also hadn't run into Vader at all, which was weird, but I didn't think about it too deeply. The Deathstar had finally decided to leave Ilum's atmosphere, meaning we were back in space for a while.
The medbay itself had been pretty slow moving. Not many people were coming in, just a few checkups and some troopers complaining of being sick. Most of my time had been spent at the desk, trying to reorganize the files I had been given in a way that I liked.
I had even peeked at Vader's file, which had hardly any information in it. Just that he had a bionic arm and that was about it.
Today was the fifth day without the necklace. By this point, I was feeling less than hopeful. I was sitting at my desk, working on the datapad silently. Lunch would be starting soon, and Piett would be coming to pick me up.
As I worked away, I could suddenly feel someone's presence behind me. I smiled a bit, realizing it was probably Piett for lunch.
"Hey! How was your morning-" I turn, only to see Darth Vader standing over me. He had his hood pulled up over his head, but it was obviously him. I furrow my brows, a look of confusion crossing my features as he shakes his head.
"I'm not Piett." He grumbled, towering there all dark and menacingly. I stood up, shaking my head a bit. "No, you're not."
"I have something for you, come with me." He instructs firmly, turning and starting to walk away. I didn't even have time to agree, he just walked away without waiting for an answer. I sigh, quickly pushing in my chair and following behind him.
Our walk in the halls went as expected: people staring, saluting at attention, and cowering at the sight of the dark lord walking by. He had a commanding presence, one that could garner anyone's attention and illicit fear easily. People looked at me in pity, probably assuming that I was in trouble or something. Maybe I should've assumed that I was, but I didn't think I was, considering Vader hadn't seemed angry when he ushered me alongside him.
Eventually, we ended up in his office. The door slid shut behind us as he went around to his side of the desk, gesturing at the chair in front of it. I took a seat, curiosity getting the best of me as he took off his hood.
I was once again blindsided by his beauty. His golden locks, flowing beautifully down his neck. His stunning amber eyes that always glowed so intensely. The scar over his eye, the story behind it still unknown. There was so much to learn about him, and yet, it seemed I would never know.
"I had quite a few troopers looking for this thing," he starts, opening a drawer and slowly pulling out a necklace.
The necklace.
My eyes widen as I reach out for it instantly. Vader tuts lightly, pulling it just out of my reach. He hums thoughtfully, shaking his head. "Nuh uh. Tell me more about this first and then you'll get it back, little one." He says firmly, raising a brow.
Of course, I should've expected something like this. Nothing could just be easy with Vader.
"I already told you, it was my mother's." I say simply, shrugging. My eyes were glued to the silver chain, the familiar heart pendant swaying gently in his grip as he held it in the air. Vader shakes his head again, leaning back in his seat.
