"What are you daydreaming about?" A gentle voice rang out, and a hand took the flashlight from his hand and hung it on the top of the tent.
Wei Ye forced a smile. "It's nothing, I'm just a little tired today."
Yan Weiyue sighed softly and reached out to touch the corner of his eye. "You should look at yourself. You look like you're about to cry."
Wei Ye lowered his eyes, his eyelashes trembling slightly, shrouded in a melancholy.
Yan Weiyue said, "If you can't sleep, let me give you some mental support."
The beam of the flashlight shone on the tent, illuminating two approaching figures.
A low chuckle drifted over from the Night Watchman, "It's so nice to have a partner. Look at Professor Yan, he even has someone to keep warm while he's on a mission."
Xi Yuan stood in the darkness, the heavy shadows obscuring his features.
Wei Ye was woken up in the middle of the night by the urge to urinate and crawled out of the tent.
The shadows of the trees were deep, and the campfire behind him burned faintly. After finishing his business behind the bushes, he jogged back towards the campfire, but suddenly stopped.
Under the moonlight, his tall figure looked like a wooden stake, standing on the path he was walking towards.
"Xi Yuan?" Wei Ye was startled by the dark figure, but breathed a sigh of relief after recognizing it. "Why aren't you asleep yet?"
Startled for a moment, he forgot about their argument. They didn't exchange a single word for several days, and their long-lost friendly attitude returned.
Xi Yuan slowly approached, the moonlight shifting between his brows and eyes. Wei Ye suddenly remembered what had happened earlier and involuntarily took a few steps back. "Are you... calm now?"
Xi Yuan said in a deep voice, "I have remained calm throughout."
Wei Ye was forced to stop when his back touched a tree trunk. A shadow fell over him, and Xi Yuan looked down at him. "You're with Yan Weiyue?"
"What did you say? No." But remembering what had happened before, his denial faltered.
Xi Yuan keenly noticed this difference, and his voice was slightly hoarse as he spoke, "Like I said before, if you fall in love with someone else..."
The words were squeezed out of his throat. Before regaining his memory, Xi Yuan thought he would never bring up this matter again.
Wei Ye bit his lip and said in a low voice, "If that's the case, then I have nothing to say to you."
He pushed Xi Yuan away from his chest, turned and ran away.
A moment later, the withered leaves were pattered by a third set of footsteps.
Xi Yuan said coldly, "Is eavesdropping on other people's conversations interesting?"
“If you hadn’t been sneakily following him, I wouldn’t have followed.” Yan Weiyue emerged from the darkness.
Xi Yuan's gaze fell upon him, his eyes cold. "You took advantage of the situation."
“You can say that,” Yan Weiyue said calmly, “but you should reflect on why you gave me this opportunity.”
"If you only hurt him, then stay away from him."

Chapter 58 Making a living with your looks in the apocalypse (Part 17)
When Wei Ye opened his eyes, he was the only one left in the tent. He vaguely knew that Yan Weiyue had probably faced off against Xi Yuan last night, but he was too tired and fell asleep before Yan Weiyue returned.
There was a lot of noise outside the tent; people who had gotten up early were cooking breakfast.
As soon as Wei Ye appeared after getting ready, Xu Huang handed him a carton of milk. "Good morning! Come have breakfast after you've washed up. There's something hot to eat this morning. By the way, I really have to say, the water you make tastes much better than mine. It's not just me, everyone thinks so."
"Good morning," Wei Ye replied with a smile. "If you all like it, I'll take care of the drinking water next time."
"No, no, no, you should rest more." Xu Huang waved his hands repeatedly.
Wei Ye put the milk carton in his pocket, went into the woods to wash up, and encountered several people who were very welcoming.
After finishing their meal, when it was time to break camp and set off, he walked back to the lead car, opened the door, and came face to face with Xi Yuan.
Xi Yuan and Yan Weiyue were both in the back seat, with a map between them, planning their route.
Two pairs of eyes fell on him at the same time.
Wei Ye paused for a moment, then asked, "Have you eaten?"
The driver in the front seat said, "They had a meeting as soon as they got up this morning, and neither Professor Yan nor Captain Xi have eaten yet."
Xi Yuan didn't speak, but Yan Weiyue smiled and said, "Just have some bread for a while. There's plenty of food available lately."
He looked at Wei Ye's waist. "What's this?"
