As they reached the entrance of the theater, He Quansheng's curses and screams suddenly echoed from the second floor: "Ah! Damn it!"

The hem of his clothes caught fire behind him, and he quickly turned around to put it out, crying out in pain from the burns.

"Mr. He, watch out!" Someone quickly filled a bucket with water and poured it on him.

Wei Ye glanced back and saw that He Quansheng was soaked to the bone, his hair all curly. He suppressed a laugh as he left the theater, and finally burst into laughter after he had walked a distance away.

"Third Brother Xie, you're so cunning!" He laughed so hard his shoulders were shaking.

"I told you I wouldn't be mistaken." Xie Shuyun still had a smiling face, her baby face looking harmless.

Upon returning to the Xie family home, Xie Shuyun did not go to her own room but followed behind Wei Ye.

Xie Wenxiu had just returned from his cultivation when he saw Xie Shuyun wandering around his room, walking smoothly to the bedside.

Two talismans for warding off evil spirits were pasted on either side of the bed. Xie Shuyun glanced at them and frowned. "Something's not right."

"Something's not right?" Wei Ye walked over and examined it closely, noticing that the cinnabar on the talisman had faded somewhat. His expression changed slightly, and he panicked. "Third brother, is there really a ghost in my room?"

Xie Shuyun nodded, "It's very possible that simply gathering Yin energy won't activate the talisman."

Wei Ye's face paled. "Is there something wrong with this room? But I don't want to move..."

Simply because this was Xie Wenxiu's room in the past, and every trace of his life remained within its walls. Wei Ye preferred to be afraid rather than leave.

Xie Wenxiu's gaze softened, and he couldn't help but reach out and gently stroke Wei Ye's head. Noticing Xie Shuyun standing to the side, he lowered his eyes and took a few steps back.

“If you’re already being haunted, changing rooms won’t help.” Xie Shuyun pondered for a moment and asked, “I remember your sister-in-law saying you had a nightmare. Can you recall it more carefully? Dreams often contain omens and reflections of reality.”

He asked the question as usual, but to his surprise, Wei Ye's cheeks flushed red upon hearing it.

Last time they spoke, Xie Shuyun had her back to him and didn't notice anything amiss, but this time she saw him clearly. Xie Shuyun immediately realized that he was hiding something, and he said softly, "If sister-in-law is hiding something from me, I won't be able to solve the problem."

Wei Ye was terrified, and despite his embarrassment, he stammered out his story.

He spoke cryptically, but Xie Shuyun fully understood the hidden meaning. Wei Ye's cheeks were flushed, his head was lowered, and his eyelashes trembled, allowing Xie Shuyun to almost imagine his helpless appearance when he was being bullied.

Xie Shuyun narrowed his eyes and said coldly, "Still a lecher."

"A lecherous bastard?!" Wei Ye's face flushed crimson, his fine white teeth biting his lip. He was filled with shame and resentment, gritting his teeth as he said, "Third brother, you must help me catch this lecherous bastard!"

Xie Wenxiu, standing to the side: "..."

The smile in Xie Shuyun's eyes vanished completely, and his gaze swept across the room with a heavy expression. "Don't worry, sister-in-law."
