Sheng Qingqing was only in her early twenties. It's hard for a young girl to avoid being traumatized by something like this.
After the holiday, Wei Ye took two more days off to be with the still-shaken Sheng Qingqing.

Sheng Qingqing hung up on Lin Tianhao again, wrapping herself in the blanket in fear. "Wei Ye, what should I do? Lin Tianhao just won't let me go!"

Because of Shao Qiyan's warning, Lin Tianhao hadn't arrested her again, but he hadn't given up harassing her.
After hanging up, another text message popped up, mentioning that

Sheng Daquan owed him a large sum of money. "My dad received a large sum of money from Lin Tianhao and even signed a contract, selling me to him." Sheng Qingqing's face was deathly pale.

Wei Ye almost burst out laughing. "You've been to university, you should understand better than me that this kind of contract is illegal."

"If anyone should be sold, it should be Shengdaquan."

"Now what you need to do..." Wei Ye gazed into her helpless eyes, saying each word carefully, "is to call the police."

Sheng Qingqing hesitated for a long time before finally making up her mind and begging Wei Ye to accompany her to the police station.

But the result wasn't good. Due to insufficient evidence, Lin Tianhao had done a thorough job, and they couldn't find any surveillance footage of him forcibly taking Sheng Qingqing away.
Lin Tianhao hired a top-notch lawyer, who twisted the truth, portraying the illegal detention and attempted rape as trivial, "just that the methods of pursuit were a little too intense, without malicious intent," and even failing to file a criminal case.

Sheng Qingqing only received a sum of money as compensation, and Lin Tianhao didn't have to spend a single day in jail.

Emerging from the police station, Lin Tianhao, impeccably dressed in a suit, approached Sheng Qingqing. "Qingqing, take the compensation; consider it to calm your nerves. As for the money Sheng Daquan owes me, rest assured, I won't ask you for it."
"But I will never give up. One day you'll know how good I am." Lin Tianhao's gaze, expression, and even his voice spoke volumes of his deep affection; he was determined to possess the woman before him.

Sheng Qingqing leaned against Wei Ye, remaining silent. Lin Tianhao glared coldly at Wei Ye, a contemptuous expression on his face, and strode away.

“We can’t handle him at all.” Sheng Qingqing watched Lin Tianhao’s car disappear into the distance, asking desperately, “He said he’d never give up, so I’ll never get rid of him in this lifetime, right?”

Wei Ye calmly replied, “Not necessarily.”

“You mean!” Sheng Qingqing thought of President Shao, the one who helped Wei Ye save her, and excitedly grabbed Wei Ye’s sleeve. “He’s such a big shot, and I’m not related to him at all. Would he really help me so much?”

“I’m not related to him either, but he’s helped me more than once.” Once, he even did it secretly. Wei Ye smiled and said earnestly, “I believe President Shao is a kind and helpful person.”

“The meeting will be over soon. Please have some water.” Shao Qiyan’s secretary placed a glass of warm water on the table, took two steps back, and quietly observed the young man who had come to visit.
He was wearing a simple white shirt and jeans, clean and handsome, but it was clear that his clothes had been washed many times. He sipped the water from the glass, looking out of place in this skyscraper.
