  ~~ Trigger Warning: Abduction ~~

With every passing minute, Eric's frustration was becoming palpable as he felt suffocated under the watchful eyes of his parents and his unhelpful uncle, Ethan, who, for a change, was siding with his parents. Right now, all Eric wanted was the solace of his own room, away from the constant scrutiny.

Spotting an opportune moment when his parents left the room, Eric leaned in toward his uncle Ethan.

Ethan sat beside him, rubbing his temples with one hand while the other rested on the sofa's handrest. He gazed at Eric in a daze.

Eric, imploring him, said, "Uncle, help me PLEASE, my parents are looking at me with daggers in their eyes."

Ethan, still in a daze, responded with a narrow-eyed question, "Whose fault is this?"

Undeterred, Eric implored, "Not you too, Uncle. I went there with helpful intentions; I had no idea that something like this would happen. and it's me who got hurt, right? Can't you just help me this much?"

With a pause he added, "If not for me, at least do it for... Claire. Don't you think she must be feeling alone and upset? If we hurry, we could all be home with her before her birthday ends."

Ethan, seemingly swayed by Eric's words, reluctantly agreed to talk to his older brother. He replied, "Alright but, I can only suggest it to your father, I can't guarantee it will help, as he is just as furious as your mother is."

"Oh! I'm sure on that he will." Eric said, with a chimed voice.

After a moment when his uncle started to get up from his sit, Eric asked, "By the way, I don't understand why you guys called this many people, about those guards I understand but, cops and that person," pointing at Kieth, who stood outside the glass window, "Who is he?"

"It's none of your concern, but one thing you should be grateful for is that they all brought you safe and sound, while you had yourself gone in the lion's den." Saying that Ethan finally got up from the chair and went out nodding at Eric.

Eric watched anxiously as Ethan approached William, not knowing if his plea would be successful.

"William..." Ethan called his name to get his attention.

As they conversed, William looked at Eric through the glass window vaguely, where Eric acted not knowing what's happening out there.

Once their conversation ended, Ethan nodded looking at Zoey and said something to her, putting his right hand on William's shoulder with softened expressions that was visible to Eric as well.

With a content look, Ethan walked in and told him, "We are going home."

Hearing him, Eric chimed and thanked his uncle for talking to his father. At which Ethan simply smiled at him and said, "I hope that you won't repeat your mistake and will be a bit more mature and understandable, from now on."

Eric replied looking in his eyes, "Yes uncle, I will."

After completing the necessary procedures at the hospital, Keith and the police officers accompanied them back to the grand mansion, William noticed the reassuring presence of a patrolling car as they approached the estate, which put him at ease.

Dropping them there, Keith left, satisfied that everything seemed in order. The police officers stayed near the patrol car, gathering information about the situation before proceeding further.

As they entered the mansion, Mrs. Smith appeared in the foyer, eagerly waiting for their arrival. Her eyes lit up with joy upon seeing them.

"Eric, my dear, are you alright? Are you hurt badly? Is it hurting too much," Mrs. Smith inquired, noticing the bandage wrapped around Eric's head.
