"Hey guys" I said, smiling to which I received a variety of responses.

"Lauren, last night, after I talked to her, I scheduled another phone call with your lawyer to go over the plan and it's in twenty-six minutes, " Camila said, checking her phone. My eyes went wide as I scrambled around, grabbing a notebook and preparing what I wanted to say.

---

"Okay, thank you!" I said to my lawyer, hanging up. It was now a quarter after ten, and I had just finished my phone call. I returned to the hotel room, having been in a complimentary conference room provided by the hotel.

"Well, what did she say?" Dinah asked as soon as I walked in, the other three nodding in agreement.

"So, it's a lot of law jargon I don't really understand. But basically, my lawyer was able to submit an application for me to be Averi's emergency placement due to special circumstances last night after talking to Camila, and the court signed off on it early this morning. They are also going to look into the home of Averi's foster placement and investigate possible negligence.  But for now, she's safe and with me until the residence hearing in a week. She suggested that I tell her everything before, though, as it will all come out," I spilled, the others taking it in.

We didn't have a chance to discuss it more because just then, Averi walked in, rubbing the sleep out of her eyes.

"Oh my goodness, it really is you guys. I wasn't dreaming," she said quietly.

I smiled and kissed the top of her head, " Yes, it really is 'us'." I laughed.

"C'mon, we have the day off, so let's go shopping today!" I said, and everyone, besides Averi nodded.

"What's wrong?" I asked and she shook her head and sat on the bed, waiting for us to get ready.

When we finished getting ready, we all got in the car and drove to the mall, finding a parking stall. It probably wasn't smart of us to go out without Big Rob, but we were too excited.

"Let's go to Urban Outfitters!" Camila said, excitedly. One by one, we all followed her, in suit.

"Wait guys, let's first get Averi something!" Ally exclaimed clasping her hands together. We walked to the jean section and I grabbed a size 0, seeing that she was really tiny. I gave them to her and she walked into the dressing room, the girls and I waiting outside.

"She's really tiny," Camila said.

"Yeah, I noticed that too," Dinah and Mani replied. The four of them exchanged glances, as I looked at them, a thousand thoughts rushing through my mind.

Averi soon came out, and handed me the jeans. "Too big," she said and she gave me a size 00 she must've found in the room. "These too."

I sighed and we went upstairs, to the second floor where the kids clothing were located. After trying many sizes, Averi finally came with a size 10 jean that she said fit her. We quickly grabbed a few jeans of that size and went to pay, and that's how the day cycled.

"I'm exhausted!" Camila exclaimed dramatically as she threw her bags on the floor of the tour bus. During our shopping trip, we were called and reprimanded by Molly and Will, our managers, who did not know we were leaving. After apologizing, they said that we needed to return to the tour bus, because we had to leave in order to make our next show the following day.

Normani and Dinah walked in, collapsing on the couches and Ally followed carrying my bag and hers because I was holding onto a tired Averi, who was practically sleepwalking. We each went to our respective suitcases, which were brought in from the hotel rooms, to put our bags away and when I returned to the sitting area, I saw Averi, who had been overtaken by sleep on the reclining sofa.
