this is a bit more personal.
why do i want to lose weight?

this is a motivation chapter for me to read when i'm struggling and hopeless. you can inspire your own "why" from it!

1. i don't want to be scared of PE class anymore. i don't want to go in there scared my face looks too round or my legs to big or that i look dumb doing the exercises.

2. i want to impress my friends and family. i want to prove to my mother that i am not lazy and a fat pig (yes, she called me that...)

3. i want to be able to run and walk around for a long time and don't be tired after just one hour of shopping.

4. i want to buy the clothes i want and not be insecure of the things i'm wearing.

5. i want to prove to my older self that i can do it and i'm really able to show discipline and cosistency.

6. i want to take use of all the things i learned about weight loss.

7. i want to get stronger and not just be one of the woman who can't do a single push up for their entire lifes.

8. i want to eat healthy so i prevent my acne from coming back and don't feel like shit all the time.

9. i want to reach the goal i set a long time ago because healing my older self is the inspiration behind all this.

10. i want to overcome all the struggles and times where i wanted to give up.

11. i want to finally be able to not overeat all the time and heal my relationship to food.

12. i want to help other girls to reach their goals too.

13. i want to finally feel free and fast and strong - not like the insecure, average child i've been my whole life.

14. i want to prove to my older self that it's never too late to be one of that skinny and sporty girls.

15. i want to say "i did it".

16. i want to live long and not have pain or any diseases later when i'm older.

17. working out helps so much with mood, stress and anxiety. i learned to love that feeling when you're sweaty and out of breath and KNOW you did something great.

18. i'm always that one smart kid in school and have always been - eating healthy and working out is good for my discipline and concentration.  when i learn to overcome procrastination and "i'll do it tomorrow" now, i don't have to deal with it later when it's becoming really important.

19. i don't want to feel tired and lazy all the time like i always did.

20. hair, skin, nails and also bones, heart and lungs and many other body parts profit a lot of healthy eating. it's not only for looks, but true health.

21. i want to show every insecure girl that IT IS possible to lose weight successfully without starving yourself or ending up with an eating disorder.

22. being fit is such a huge benefit. i want to be able to carry a heavy bag or walk up a lot of stairs without getting out of breath. i want to be independent and feel safe and strong in my own body.

23. i'm a perfectionist. my body is good already. but it can always be BETTER. why waste my potential?

24. my weight loss journey has some vibes i would miss if i just quit without getting finished. the workout scrolling on pinterest, the youtube hiit, the special breakfast, the calorie counting, the protein bar in school break, the walking around in my room. it has so much nostalgia to it.

it's not always about "i want to look skinny"...
