Isaiah and Iyana were walking into a new gym where they were gonna play pick up. Both Isaiah and Iyana followed after their dad who was once in the Nba. They both swore they would be like their dad, if not better. There was nothing more a father could want than that, which is why he would always practice with them. Their dad spent hours outside with them when they were younger, teaching them how to play. They both fell in love with the sport quickly.
Both siblings were good at the sport they played considering that they were both committed to d1 schools. Isaiah was committed to university of Kentucky, while Iyana was committed to Uconn.
While they were walking, Iyana pumped her ball at Isaiah making the boy flinch. The girl snickered seeing his reaction before Isaiah slapped the ball out of her hand. Isaiah laughed at the girl who mugged him. "Dumbass. Stop fucking with me."
She just rolled her eyes, picking her ball off the ground. "It was not that funny."
They opened the door to the gym, seeing people were already playing a game. The two walked in and sat their bags against a wall next to each other. They took their shoes out of their bag, before slipping off the slides that were on their feet.
"I need some new shoes bro, these shits so old." he complained, looking at the pink adidas dame 8's that were on his feet. Don't get him wrong, they were good shoes to play in, but he's been strictly playing in these for about a year. He was definitely planning on getting new ones before school basketball season started.
Iyana stood up, offering her hand to help her brother up. He took it, and the girl pulled him off the floor.
They waited around for the next game to start before they stepped onto the court. Isaiah and Iyana separated going onto different teams because the two loved to play against each other. They both played the same position, so when they had the chance they liked to show each other up.
Isaiah looked around seeing who was on his team, and his eyes stopped wandering when he noticed he was playing with Keshawn. It had felt like some kind of full circle moment.
Over the past week that they had been talking with their new friend group, and catching up with Keshawn they had realized how much they had missed of each other's lives. Given, it had been six years so they were bound to miss a lot.
Keshawn noticed the boy across the court and jogged over to where he was standing.
Isaiah dapped him up, "I didn't know you come over to this gym. It's been mad long since we played together."
