Disclaimer: I do not own Cult of the Lamb. I am simply a fan of the game. I was inspired by Jbrine061. Please check out her story. She is amazing. Now onto the story.

Shamura and Rose continued their conversation. Rose had dropped a bombshell on them. She could resurrect the dead. It could be considered taboo, blasphemy even... but was there more to what she had to say? Rose seemed to be very transparent, at least that's what she wanted to be. Shamura let Rose continue where she left off...
"What are the limitations of your power?" They asked her.
"One, I have until the body starts to decompose. The sooner it's done, the better. Second, the deceased must still have time left in this realm. Meaning, they were killed before they lived out their designated lifespan. I can determine that using my left eye on a person. If they were meant to die at the time they did, then I cannot revive them. It's against the laws of nature. Third, the deceased individual must wish to come back. They can choose to stay dead and move on. How this is determined is when one goes to revive someone. It will be like dreaming. The one trying to revive the individual will speak with them briefly before returning to reality. I had never encountered such an event. This comes from a different account by a different Phoenix Hybrid," Rose explained.
Shamura listened... So she couldn't do whatever she wanted... it only made them more weary of Narinder... but was he to be feared? Based on what Rose was saying, others have tried to revive the death... Was this a frequent thing?
"We don't revive every dead person we see, that is simply ridiculous. The first person I had revived was my best friend, Brightstar. Her time had been cut short. I pulled at my life force, took it out of my body, and placed it within hers. I died and revived as I usually do when I'm killed. She came back and later died and an old woman, surrounded by her loved ones..." Rose explained.
"Hmm..." Shamura took into account what she told them.
"Only one thing can break certain limitations... The Crimson Stone amplifies my power. I don't have to worry about the body decomposing, I just need to worry if it's intact as best it can be. Even a skeleton will do, but that is very dangerous to one's health from what I researched. However, if they were still meant to die at their designated time of death... Personally, I cannot do a thing," Rose leaned back in her chair.
"A life for a life..." Shamura said.
"I'm a loophole. I give my life, yet come back..." Rose said. "I can only hope to guide Narinder to not go overboard or do anything too dangerous. If anything, I'm only in it to help those who never got a chance to live or whose lives were taken before their time... I don't think I can talk him out of it completely..."
"... Thank you for telling me, Rose... and explaining everything clearly... Know that I am still very much against resurrection, but I'm glad to see that you're level headed when it comes to such a delicate matter. As I said before, you are very brave and bold to tell me. I could kill you for blasphemy, you know..." Shamura said. "But you will not stay dead..."
"I'm not affiliated with the Old Faith, you know that. And no, I wouldn't," Rose said and got up. "If everything is cleared up, I'll take my leave. I'll do my best with Narinder, but no promises."
"Very well, Lady Rose. I'll escort you to the teleportation stone," Shamura got up and walked with her to the door.
However... before they made it out the door, Shamura quickly pinned Rose down, restraining her with their legs. Rose's eyes had widened for a moment, but then she made a look that basically meant that she wasn't surprised.
