Rose had removed her previous wedding ring a little after she started a relationship with Narinder. It was Rose ending the chapter of her being Adlan's widow. She had become Death's consort, and now, she was his fiancé. Rose was still surprised by the fact that her family had been able to sneak up on them without them realizing. They even helped Kallamar sneak over to them! At least he didn't do anything that warranted a bonk to the noggin. This time. Rose looked at her old wedding ring one final time before putting it away. She had placed it next to her late husband's wedding ring. A copy was made just in case anything happened to the original, and when no one was looking... he switched his true ring with the copy before his death. Adlan wanted his children or maybe the grandchildren to have the real one for when they got married. Rose was always hesitant to part with them before she met Narinder. In her mind, she was still married even though she had become a widow. Rose shook her head and looked at her new engagement ring. She was getting married again to a different person, someone she loved dearly. Narinder started out as a friend, and then the relationship grew into something more.
Narinder never knew that love could feel so wonderful. He had seen Kallamar and Heket get lovey dovey with their spouses, but feeling it himself was definitely an experience. One day, hopefully very soon, he and Rose would wed and become husband and wife. Narinder was glad that he got along well with her family. Those of Phoenix Clan were quite a friendly bunch, even if some elders that were distant relatives, were grumpy to say the least. They didn't believe that Narinder was any god at all. Let them think what they wanted. Narinder was ticked off at the disrespect but remembered that Rose's whole Clan was of a different faith. The old timers, as they were called by the younger generations, were promptly silenced by everyone telling them to be quiet. Elders were to be respected but they make it difficult. Rose apologized on their behalf to her fiancé, but Narinder told her not to worry. Aside from that grumpy bunch, everyone else was very friendly. Rose's immediate family was happy that she found someone to love once more, had she not, she would have faded away once she turned 500. Narinder didn't visit often since being a Cult leader and the god of death was a full-time job and position. Whenever someone passes away, he must guide them to their final destination.
Now that the two lovers were officially engaged, Rose moved in with Narinder. Her grandchildren were upset that they wouldn't see her all the time anymore, but she would see them on weekends and on holidays. To say that they would send her letters and drawings was an understatement, they would go overboard with those. Rose loved her family dearly, but she knew that it was time to step back. Her children were adults and were quite competent. They knew what to do in certain events should they need to intervene. Rose sometimes felt like there was nothing else for her to do at home. Her brother was running the Clan and knew how to keep a cool head. It seemed that she just had to worry about nothing and focus on Narinder and the upcoming days to prepare for the wedding. When should it be? There wasn't any rush or anything, and Rose needed a new dress. Her old wedding dress had been passed down to her daughters when they married, even if they didn't use it. What sort of style would it even be?? Something that matched both her usual look or something representing the Old Faith? She didn't know what to pick...
When her brothers learned of her upcoming marriage, they would have been surprised that she would remarry at all if they didn't constantly ship her and Narinder. Lumos, Callisto, and Ayato highly doubted that Rose would remarry at all after the emotional heartbreak she suffered after her husband's death. Rose was the type to hold lingering feelings and she held onto her late husband's love as much as she could. The three were glad that she was able to move on, especially after Brightstar's death. They still missed her but life goes on. Right now, they were all wondering what would make suitable wedding gifts for their sister. Whatever they have her had to be special, probably even more than the first gift had been. At least they had some time since the wedding wasn't going to be too soon. Sheesh, they had forgotten how much of a process planning a wedding was! It had been years since they wed... Oh well. They'll figure out what to give Rose and Narinder eventually. In the meantime, they would keep an eye on things while either watching over their Clans or adventuring in Ayato's case. His species didn't really live together, most of them anyway.
