Hearing that didn't change much for Eric, he was still skeptical.

Noticing which Bryce urged Eric, "You won't find your answer unless you tell her how you feel. Go home and talk to her today without thinking over and over."

Eric hesitated, "Alright, but I can't talk to her today at least, Everyone's busy at home today, including Jane."

Bryce inquired, "Why? What's going on there today?"

"It's Claire's birthday. Didn't you check the invite?" Eric reminded him.

"Oh... that," Bryce remarked nodding his head but then he added the next moment, grinning, "I think today's the day you can totally confess on."

"How so?" Eric asked, interestingly.

"By taking her away, when everyone's busy watching the fireworks, I'll arrange..." Eric shook his head, as soon as Bryce mentioned fireworks, "No, there won't be any fireworks this time, mate, remember, last year because of your stupid recording thing during the show everything went awfully wrong, we basically destroyed Claire's birthday."

"You managed to get away halfway through the scolding, but I couldn't." He reminded.

Bryce scratched a little spot on his neck and whispered, "Yeah, but this time there isn't any pet at your home, so..."

When the look in Eric's eye persisted, Bryce shifted uneasily, breaking the silence with a half-hearted chuckle, "Okay, fine! That was just a suggestion." His mind wandered back to the events that had unfolded.

"You know what, I've still got the recording," Bryce said, swiping and pulling it up on his phone. The screen flickered with frozen moments.

"Why on earth do you still have that? Didn't you say you deleted it?" Eric questioned, his brow furrowing in disbelief.

"Why would I delete such a hilarious gem? Just look at everyone's faces!" Bryce replied, laughing ou.

"Hey, give me that phone!" Eric demanded, reaching for it, a mix of irritation and urgency in his tone. But Bryce, quick with his hands, tucked the phone away into the safe confines of his pants pocket with a playful smirk.

"Okay... Okay. I promise I'll delete it this time," Bryce said.

"Yeah right, like I'll believe now," rolling his eyes he stated, clearly annoyed, his arms crossing tightly over his chest, "Listen do whatever you want, but seriously, don't let it get posted anywhere because I'll be doomed then."

Noticing Eric's annoyance and serious tone, Bryce feigned compliance. "Alright, I'll delete it right now," he said, taking out his phone, but panic surged as he exclaimed, "Shit!" standing up abruptly.

"What happened?" Eric asked, concern in his voice.

In response, Bryce looked down at the screen swiping his finger, wide-eyed. "It's... it's already gone!" he blurted out stuttering.

"Wait! Let me check," grabbing, Eric scanned the device and realized it was truly erased, a wave of relief washed over him, as he commented, "It happened for the good."

There Bryce, had gone silent for a moment collecting his thoughts before he went over the topic they were discussing.

He leaned in, patting Eric on the back. "Why don't I bring her to you? While you wait at the beach, you can confess your feelings there. Under the starlight, I'm sure she'll respond positively," he said with a soft smile.
