"Miss Lisa, can I please borrow your phone. It's life or death!" I exclaimed. The older lady's eyes widened in surprise and she hurriedly handed me her phone, nodding. I ran back to my area, tripping on a rug on the way. After I got up, I quickly dialed the number.

"I'm sorry, but you are not caller 727, try again." the voice machine said.

I quickly tried again and the phone rang, and rang, and rang some more . . . before somebody answered.

"Hello! This is Mike with 100.3 MIAMI FM, what's your name?"

"Uhm. . . Averi" I said in shock.

"Congratulations Averi, you have won one ticket to Fifth Harmony's show next week!" he shouted. It's safe to say that Miss Lisa was thoroughly alarmed by my screech. "Please stay on the line and someone will get your information!" He explained, and I nodded, before realizing he couldn't see me.

The call was transferred to another line, and a girl's voice appeared shortly after.

"Hi there! Is this Averi?" The girl voiced, and I responded.

"Great! Now I need some information from you. Before I begin though, is there an adult there with you?" Looking around, I spotted Miss Lisa, doing some work on her computer. Technically, she was there with me.

"Yes," I said.

"Great! We can start now. What's your full name, phone number, birthday, and email address?" She asked, as I began to answer the questions.

Once we completed and confirmed all of the questions, the lady said one final thing, "Now, since you are a minor, you need to fill out a permission slip with a parent's signature. So, you and your parent can come to the 100.3 FM Studio any weekday between 9 AM and 5 PM to sign that!" She exclaimed, as my heart dropped.

"Umm . . . "I began, as she heard my hesitation.

"Is there a problem?" She asked, as I began to hurriedly think of something.

"No, um, no problem. Well except, my parents are divorced and I'm staying with my dad who lives in Miami beginning tomorrow for the next week. My dad works during the day, so he won't be able to come with me," I stated, proud of myself for coming up with that lie so quickly.

"Oh, okay. Let me see what I can do. You can't come with your mom today?" She asked.

"No, we live in Port Saint Lucie and my dad is the one who lives in Miami," I said to her as I heard typing on her end.

"Okay, give me a second," She said before putting me on a hold. I held my breath and crossed my fingers as I waited for her to return.

"Averi, are you there?" The lady asked as she returned.

"Yes!" I exclaimed, as I felt my insides twisting and turning in anticipation.

"Alrighty! I spoke to my boss and this is what we can do. We can send you a copy of the form, and just have your mom or dad sign it and email it back and that will be okay!" She said, as I released a breath that I didn't know I was holding.

"That's amazing! Thank you so much for accommodating!" I exclaimed, never happier.

"Okay! I will send the form to the e-mail on file, does that work?" She asked.

"Yes! Thank you!" I said, with a smile on my face.

"Great! Once they fill those out, I will e-mail you, confirming. The show is at the Fillmore Miami Beach at the Jackie Gleason Theater next Friday at 7PM. Please come to the box office that morning at 8 so you can retrieve your VIP ticket. You don't need your parent there, but just bring a copy of the permission slip, just incase,"she said.

"Thank you so much! Thank you a million!" I exclaimed and she laughed before saying goodbye.

"Are you okay, Averi?" Miss Lisa asked, before I ran to her and hugged her tightly.

"I'm amazing, Miss Lisa! I just got a ticket to the Fifth Harmony concert! Can I use your printer and computer?" I asked as she laughed and nodded.

"Sure! I'm very happy for you, Averi," she smiled warmly, as I hugged her again.

I quickly logged into my e-mail on her computer and saw that I had an email from 100.3 FM Radio. I quickly downloaded the form and printed two copies and grabbed a pen. I walked to the back of the bookstore and grabbed the copies from the printer. I sighed before signing and dating the parent/guardian signature line, only feeling mildly guilty for forging a signature. In my defense, I am my own guardian because I take care of myself, technically. I uploaded a picture of the form and quickly emailed it to the radio station e-mail, before letting out one final sigh of relief.

I was going to see Fifth Harmony.
