Mars snorted softly despite herself.
Raven's suit had subtle upgrades too; her cloak was now woven with defensive runes along the inside hem.
Gar glanced around. "Okay, gotta admit... we look kinda badass."
"Correction," Jaime said, his Scarab whirring. "We look like absolute death incarnate."
Dick gave a curt nod. "This isn't for show. We go in, we get it done, we come home."
Everyone nodded - and for a second, it felt less like a mission briefing and more like a promise.
The next room over felt like something straight out of a high-security military vault. Cool, sterile air, shelves lined with equipment cases, and display walls showcasing prototype tech.
Cyborg - called in remotely through a secure channel - appeared on a large screen at the end of the room. "Alright, Titans," Vic's grin was wide, but his tone was razor-sharp. "Time to tool up. I've been working on some nasty little surprises for Ra's and his cult."
He gestured to the weapons cache through the screen. Lockers hissed open, revealing gleaming new gear customised for every one of them.
Garfield's new weapon was a compact, adjustable wrist brace loaded with neuro-static charges. Non-lethal, but enough to down a grown man or stun a small creature mid-transformation. "For when shifting claws isn't enough," Vic joked.
Jaime's suit upgrades included rapid-fire plasma darts and micro-shields deployable from the forearms. The Scarab clicked approvingly, whirring softly. "About time you gave me more toys."
Kory received twin plasma discs, glowing with soft orange light - lightweight but devastating at range. When activated, they shimmered like miniature suns in her hands.
Raven accepted a new charm ring, etched with ancient defensive runes that would counter mind control effects and strengthen her psychic defenses - a direct answer to what happened to Mars.
Then came Damian's.
Vic's image smirked as Damian approached his cache. "For you, kid. Two collapsible titanium batons, lined with an insulated current. Anti-personnel grade, non-lethal setting by default... unless you say otherwise."
Damian picked one up, flicked his wrist, and it extended with a sharp snap. He spun it experimentally. "Tolerable."
And finally - Marceline's.
Vic's voice softened a little. "And for you, Mars... something I've been working on since the first Tower incident."
An obsidian-black dagger, forged from an alloy mixed with ancient meteorite metal and bonded to absorb kinetic energy. Its edge shimmered faintly violet in the low light.
"Lightweight. Designed to channel your shadows if you need to. It won't shatter, no matter what you put it through."
Mars reached out, fingers curling around the hilt. The second she touched it, the weapon hummed softly, responding to her.
"Holy shit," Gar muttered.
A ghost of a smile crossed Mars' face as she twirled it once, the blade singing through the air.
"I can work with this."
Vic gave a satisfied nod from the screen. "Good. Now, go wreck his plans and come home alive."
Dick looked around the room. "Alright, Titans - move out."
The hallway buzzed with scattered voices and hurried footsteps as the team moved out, the last of their new gear strapped on. Boots against polished floors, the hum of the Tower's security grid disengaging, and the sharp, electric tension of an operation about to ignite.
