"We'll hit them before dawn," Dick started, voice steady and sharp. "This place is rigged to the teeth with security. Heat sensors, motion trackers, patrol bots, and a supernatural barrier tied to that artifact." He glanced briefly at Mars, his gaze softening just a fraction. "Which means we need to split into three squads."

He pointed to three separate entry points on the map.

"Squad One - Kory, Jaime, Gar. You'll handle the perimeter and disable the external defenses. No alarms, no backup. Quiet in, quiet out."

"Squad Two - Raven and me. We breach the upper floors and neutralize Ra's council. They'll have hostages and ancient tech up there."

"Squad Three..."
His gaze shifted to Mars and Damian.

"You two are on internal strike. You'll head for the artifact chamber. Locate it, retrieve it intact if possible - if not, destroy it. That artifact can't fall back into Ra's hands. Understood?"

Mars' stomach twisted. The thought of going near it again made her skin crawl.
But Damian, sitting steady beside her, gave a single, silent nod.
And somehow, that was enough to anchor her.

"What about League backup?" Kory asked.

"They're staying outside the range of the artifact's influence," Dick said. "This one's on us."

Everyone exchanged glances. The old fear was there - but so was something else. A crackling, stubborn kind of loyalty.

Gar broke the silence first. "Alright. Let's wreck this bastard."

The room collectively exhaled.

"Gear up," Dick ordered, standing tall. "In twenty, we suit up."

And just like that, the plan was set.

The Titans' gear room had always smelled faintly of ozone and oil - like charged air before a storm. Tonight, it hummed with low, focused energy as lockers hissed open and fresh suits were revealed.

Dick gestured them over. "Custom upgrades. Had these in the works after the last incident at the docks... figured it was about time."

Kory's new suit shimmered like molten gold with deep crimson accents, a sleeker, combat-efficient cut while still feeling otherworldly. Jaime's new armor plating looked tougher, more refined - polished with a darker chrome-blue finish. Gar's suit was lightweight, a reinforced tactical weave but still flexible enough for shape-shifting, now trimmed in forest green streaks.

Then came Mars and Damian.

"Mars," Dick said, flicking a switch. A case slid open to reveal a new suit made for war. It was matte black like night itself, with deep violet stitching tracing along the sleeves and a silver-etched emblem resembling a crescent moon across the chest. The reinforced gloves and boots had lightweight metal plating built into the weave, the kind meant to withstand hell.

She reached for it, the fabric cool and oddly familiar.

"It's... perfect," she muttered, fingers brushing over the emblem.

Beside her, another case opened for Damian.

Gone was the green and red of old - his new suit was a shadowed hunter's garb-deep charcoal armour, sleek and unburdened. The bat insignia was a muted silver-grey, blending seamlessly into the fabric.

No cape. Just a detachable hood, combat gauntlets reinforced with collapsible blades, and holsters lined for both daggers and utility gear.

"Tch." Damian gave the faintest smirk, pulling the hood over his head to test the fit. "Finally. Something that doesn't make me look like a discount Christmas tree."
