Naturally, the Noonveilian Clans - those that could - did all in their power to restore their home after battles or if they find any damage. Rose's thoughts trailed back to Narinder, still wanting to see him. Maybe sending a letter and asking if it was safe to visit could help? They still corresponded through magic letters and spoke with the talisman, but seeing each other in person was the best. Rose sometimes wondered what it would be like to live with him... They had been together for a little while, but was it too soon? Rose did want to wait until her Helios' chicks were a bit older. She loved the cute little babies so much and didn't want to miss out on them growing up! It seems that the two lovebirds thought more alike than they thought. No wonder everyone was shipping them and they were none the wiser! Rose shook her head and decided to write a letter. If she called with the talisman, she might interrupt Narinder if he was giving a sermon. Rose sat at her desk and wrote the letter, then sent it once it was finished. Another thing about magic letters, they can't be intercepted unless someone else catches it before the official recipient catches it. It was more secure than regular letters, but not everyone used them. Speaking of catching, Rose received Narinder's reply momentarily afterwards. Rose opened the letter and read its contents.

My dearest Rose,

I want to see you as much as you wish to see me... But I'm afraid we must wait a few more days. My flock have sighted the Fox yesterday, at least what that's what it seemed like. The beast seems to be playing with us, trying to make me paranoid. It will not work. I believe you'll be safer if we wait, even though it pains me to say it. What the Fox has in store, I am not certain, but he cannot be underestimated. He dared to attack you and paid dearly for it. There is also the matter of Vulcana, the goddess we thought retired or dead. We still don't know why she wants you specifically, aside from her wanting your power. I don't know what I would do if she got her grubby claws on you. Then again... you might defeat her before anyone can rescue you. You've proven yourself to be no damsel in distress. You are a powerful being, but she is a goddess. I'm not downplaying your abilities, but you know what I mean.

As you have told me to never underestimate our opponents, I will not underestimate Vulcana. She managed to trick us once, but she won't do so again. When the time comes, I will send you a letter regarding when you can come back. The flock misses you very much, especially the children and little Lelouch. He's growing up very quickly and wearing a brand new bell. He keeps the one I gave him on his little plush. And yes, he still tries to hug my tail when no one is watching in case you were wondering. At times when I look at my flock, I see them stronger than they were before. Perhaps it is the miracle herbs that are still in their system - I have heard of magic sticking around for a while, even if it has faded. I can feel their faith every time I hold a sermon or collect the fervor from my monuments. Regardless of the reason, I have you to thank for their survival, mi amor. Had it not been for you and your friends, then almost all of my flock would be dead. You're my beautiful firebird of life and death.

I love you, Rose. Until next we meet.

- Narinder.

Rose finished reading the letter. She was happy that the flock was well, but worried for their safety. Narinder is taking what she taught him into consideration. Rose had never heard of Vulcana whatsoever, but from what she has been told, the woman was dangerous. Rose was sad that she couldn't see Narinder for a bit longer, but understood why. Rose was a very patient being, but even her patience had a limit. Rose wrote a reply and sent it on its way. She wrote saying that she understood his concerns and would keep waiting. She asked him to say hello to everyone and that she misses everyone. Rose looked out the window and wondered what Vulcana was really like. She was sneaky, cunning, and conniving, that's for sure. What else... ah, ambitious and power hungry. Sounded like the scoundrels she used to face in the battle for Noonveil. Still, this was a goddess she was contemplating. Unlike the enemies Rose had faced, this one is a goddess and wielded the power of fire.
