As King Hrive knew his daughter had been injured by the very next day, quickly rushed into the guest room and gave her an embrace. He had been worried feared that he will loose her again.

"Sabriel, you must cut out the attitude of recklessness. As the future queen-" said King Hrive.

"Father, please. Not now. " said Sabriel.

"Well, you must learn by now things are now not the same as once." said King Hrive.

"Father, I do not think I am the right choice to be a ruler. Ethil can." said Sabriel.

King Hrive sighed and shook his head. His mind wondered why would a child of his does not want to be a ruler. He was disappointed and left the room without a word.

Sabriel stood up and took a deep breath. Her wounds is still recovering but not fully heal. She went to opened the sliding door and went to the balcony to take some fresh air. It was a beautiful morning and a day to start. Her hand rested on the railing and watched the birds tweeting around and of course, lost in her thought.

She saw something moving on the ground. She noticed souls flying around the forest. The scenery was green and fresh not a dark and smelly one. She saw the figures of the souls are the elves. The citizens of Mirkwood. They were so happy and joyful. Horses galloped around the woods, young elleths were plucking berries and flowers as well the children. She saw a child waved at her. She just smiled at the child. Continued she watched them. But all fade as she noticed a black figured coming from the north. It was a dragon, flying towards here and fired fire on the road. The elves were screaming and crying. The forest trees tumbled on the ground, burning.

There she watched the army of elves defending the forest. It looked so real. Sorrow filled in her heart. That was the past of this kingdom. The king himself she saw had fallen for he had been stabbed by a poison dagger while he was battling with the orcs. There a young elf prince made his way to save his father but the orcs had been occupied him. Then, the connection was lost. It revealed The Eye. It was fiery red, calling her. She saw Venda was with it, holding the orb that revealed the Eye.

"Venda," Sabriel hissed at her. Venda just crackled and blasted her with black magic.

"Too long I have wait for my plan. The world will be mine and His. You are just a weakling. The power of The Enchantress will not last. The rings belong to me." snarled Venda.

The image disappeared and what she saw was something far more worse. The ghouls were everywhere of the place. One by one there were ten of them. It was her friends! The fellowship! They turned into ghouls.

"You see, daughter of Glawen. Things are the way they were before I plan. You are worthless,Glawen or should I say sister?" said Venda, crackling evilly.

"STAY AWAY FROM MY DAUGHTER,VENDA!" exclaimed a voice in Sabriel.

A light appeared and the thoughts were disrupted as Sabriel was found in the garden. It was already evening. Legolas was snapping his fingers in front of Sabriel's frozen face. Sabriel was startled.

"Are you alright? You seems lost. In thoughts." said Legolas.
"What are you doing here? " asked Sabriel.
"This is my home. I can go whenever I like. " scoffed Legolas.
"Show off, " mocked Sabriel.
"What is in your mind, dear friend? " asked Legolas.
"Random thoughts. "answered Sabriel.
"Random thoughts until you're in here for hours." said Legolas. "That doesn't surprises me. "
"Are you supposed to be with your father? " asked Sabriel.
"He was worried. The guards cool him down with....wine. " said Legolas.
"Alright.... I will be going." said Sabriel.

They both left the garden and went to see the king. But before they left, Sabriel looked at the garden one final time and noticed something is watching her. She just shrugged and followed Legolas back to the chamber.
