Jane's face flushed with embarrassment as she stammered, "No... no, that's not what I meant."

But Claire, delighted with this whole thing, decided to have some fun. "I'll make sure you two end up together," she indicated, moving ahead of her, with eyes sparkling with mischief.

"Hey! where are you going ahead," Jane asked feeling worried.

"To call him," Claire replied and started to move faster with a mischievous smile plastered on her face.

"No... Claire, stop! Just listen to me first," Jane pleaded. But Claire had other ideas.

She quickly responded, "Okay, if you catch me in the chase, to the living area, right now, then I won't tell him anything until you do." With that, she darted away, leaving Jane behind without hearing her response.

Desperate to catch up to her, Jane chased after her, but Claire was too quick.

Jane's heart was pounding with anxiousness as she was running behind her, calling, "Stop! Please, Claire, stop!"

Ignoring her voice, Claire taunted her with amusement, "Catch me, if you can."

Claire's agility and speed proved too much for Jane to handle as Claire had already crossed the lawn and stood outside the kitchen entrance while Jane was still out far on the lawn yelling in desperation, "Wait..."

Looking back at her, Claire exclaimed, "I think you are intentionally being slow here Jane. From inside, you do want me to tell him, right."

Upon hearing this, Jane increased her pace, giving Claire a glare. Claire enjoyed Jane's reaction and opened the kitchen side door, finding Jane closer to her.

As soon as Claire entered, Jane followed her inside.

Noticing Jane, Claire picked up her pace and navigated her way out without colliding with anyone, in the busy kitchen and headed toward the hallway.

Jane looked visibly tired from the way she huffed and puffed, above that her being pushed into an involuntary chase had also left her with a dry throat. Despite these she refused to back down and continued running, after taking a deep breath while keeping her eyes straight on Claire.

Ahead her, Claire suddenly saw Mr. John, who's one of household assistant, carrying several boxes of decorations in his arms. Due to which, she managed to avoid him at the last moment, but Jane wasn't so lucky and crashed straight into him and fall behind around the hallway corner.

Claire, who was watching this from far ahead of her, couldn't help but burst out laughing at the sight of Jane's laying on the floor.

"Can't you watch ahead?" Jane complained to him, sitting up.

Startled, John looked down at the mess of decorations on the ground, his face contorted into a frown of annoyance as he complained, "Is it me or you who need to watch out, I was holding those boxes and you came and run into me, so who was at fault here," he scolded her, his voice filled with irritation, "You have increased my work."

When he made that accusation, she noticed what she did. She had said things, without considering who could be at fault, and who she was saying them to, since she was so focused on catching Claire.

However, as soon as she realized her mistake, Jane immediately acknowledged, "I'm sorry. When I turned, I couldn't see you, which caused me to collide and fall with you Mr. John, I'm really sorry for shouting; it was thoughtless of me. Please forgive me. I promise, I'll be careful from next time."
