"Excuse me? Anong hindi? Don't make me remind you of something, Alli." I said jokingly.
"Why don't you take a look around while you're here, Agent Lim? Tumae ka na din para malaman mo."
She sarcastically said habang inaayos yung blower sa may vanity table nya. Tiningnan ko sya ng masama bago muling nagsalita.
"Ay hindi na, di pa ko natatae eh. Wala pa kasing laman tong tyan ko. Ayaw ko na lang sabihin kung bakit pero nagugutom na din talaga ako ngayon."
Sinasabi ko yun habang naglalakad papasok sa loob ng CR. Dahil nacu-curious din talaga ako kung anong itsura nito.
"Shocks" she said in a very low tone but I heard it.
"Wow!" I whispered.
Ang laki pala talaga nito, may pinto nga.
Pagbukas ko ng pinto sa loob ng CR, akala ko walk in closet na yung labas nun, hindi pa pala.
May maliit na wash or make up room pa ito tapos isa pang pinto ulit papasok naman sa walk in closet nya.
"Ang daming pinto, hindi nga tatagos yung amoy dito. Inaalala ko lang yung mga damit mo baka bumaho eh."
"Sorry about our supposed dinner. Tara sa baba, magpaluto na lang tayo." She said apologetically when I got out from the walk in closet.
"Hmm... How about we go out, have a night drive and— and go for drive thru nalang, just like the old times? 10:00 PM palang naman." I offered.
"Ayoko na magbihis at mag-ayos ulit, Mav. Tinatamad na ko. At tsaka dis oras na ng gabi ah, wala bang naghihintay sayo sa bahay?" She answered.
"You don't have to, just wear this and you're good to go. Tsaka ano ako bata? Uuwi ako kung kailan ko gusto." I said while handing her my jacket I lent her earlier.
[while driving]
"Thank you for being with me on my birthday. It means alot to me, M— Alli." I said.
As much as I want to call her Moo—
I just can't with her cold treatment again towards me.
I could feel that she's not comfortable hearing it from me anymore either. I've seen her frowning everytime I call her that.
She answered me with just a nod. She's very quiet.
"What do you want to eat?" I asked.
"Kung ano lang madaanan natin. I could use some coffee though."
"Okay, Miss Ma'am, let's go for coffee, then." We went to our favorite fast food chain and I ordered her favorite.
After that, I brought her to the same spot where we used to hang out before. —THE BENCH
Mabilis naman kaming nakapasok sa University dahil kasama ko yung anak ng may-ari.
She also instructed the guard to turn on all the lights in the field.
"It's been awhile noh?" I started the conversation.
"Yes. But what are you doing, Mav?" She asked blantly.
"What do you mean?" I asked back.
"Why are we here? Why did you come back? Did you? Or you were about to say goodbye again?"
Her voice cracked. I can feel the tension in her gaze.
"Alli, wag naman tayong mag away ngayon. Can we just put about that aside for now? I'm here for you. I want to help you heal from that nightmare you had in the past. Let's go back to what we were before. Please let me make it up to you, for those times na dapat nasa tabi mo ako."
