[ALLI's PoV]
[FLASHBACK]
[Cal and Alli's Dinner]
"Cal, I'm sorry. But I'm gonna be honest with you." I paused to see his reaction first and he nodded.
"I can't let you court me,I like someone el—" I sighed before I continue.
"...I actually like Mavis Lim."He was startled at first, but found the words to say to me.
"Oh! Wow! Does she knew?" He asked.
I decided to tell him the truth.
"I confessed five days ago."
He stared at me for awhile before he talk again.
"Hmmm, Alli, thank you for having dinner with me, that's so nice of you. It means so much to me. But I—ah, please forget my confession before and everything, okay? Titigil na ko dito. I don't wanna have any conflict with Mav, she's my friend."
"Actually, I haven't heard from her yet. Maybe she's not into me." I said sadly.
"That's impossible, Alli. Give her time. Anyway, are you done eating? Hatid na kita pauwi." Tumayo na kami ni Cal kasabay ng pagdaan ng Daddy nya sa table namin.
Nagkagulatan sila pareho at napatingin din sakin si Mr. Caleb ng nakangiti.
He excused Cal so they could talk in private while I also excused myself to the restroom.
Pagbalik ko I heard his father talking:
"Kailangan mong makuha ang loob ng babaeng yan so we could have shares with their Company. Wala na tayong aasahan sa lolo mong taksil. I did everything for him tapos yung Airline lang ibibigay sakin?"
"Dad, bakit ba kasi di ka nalang po makontento? Buti nga may ibinigay pa sayo si Lolo." Callum said.
"Beg her or force her to date you I don't care how you do it just make sure you gain her trust. Para naman may magawa kang tama sa buhay mo at ng hindi tayo pulutin sa kangkungan."
[End of Flashback]
Naawa ako kay Callum noon, buong byahe namin tahimik lang sya. He never brought it up to me.
Until sunday came, that was the last day of the ultimatum I gave you— I waited for you. But...
Anyway, I've decided to help him instead— We pretended.
Wala kaming pinagsabihan para iwas gulo. I'm the one who suggested that.
His Dad got a share in our Company just like what he wanted.
At first ayaw ni Dad,but I begged him, pinagbigyan nya lang ako dahil nga ang alam nya boyfriend ko si Callum.
And then that night of their family reunion, Callum and I had decided to end it.
First because Dad caught Mr. Caleb talking to some board secretly planning to fire Dad from his own Company.
Ang kapal di'ba? Ganun sya kasama.
Second, I was planning to go to states to study Law coz I'm considering to reside there too.
Away from everyone, away from you.
But life worked ironically to me. I did lived away from everyone not for my goals in life but because of trauma.
That night changed everything.
Apparently, Callum's Dad wanna use me again. Callum said his father wants to set me up na gumagamit ng bawal na gamot just to put chaos to all our businesses and to blackmail Dad so he can take a bigger share of our Company.
