[ALLIYAH's POV]
It's Friday and the last day of Intrams.
The bands were lined up and I still have no idea what she looks like or who she really is.
I'm a bit scared and excited and nervous, halo-halong emosyon na ang nararamdaman ko ngayon.
I am now questioning myself why am I doing this and why I came here in the first place?
Sinabayan pa ng ingay ng mga estudyante sa gymnasium ang kabang nararamdaman ko ngayon.
I don't know what will happen after we see each other.
My gut feeling's been telling me she's a good person naman.
So I'm putting all my trust in it.
Ganto na ba ako kadesperada makahanap ng tunay na kaibigan? Ewan. Bahala na.
Yung kaninang ingay lang ng mga naguusap-usap na mga tao ay napalitan na ng hiyawan when Mavis Lim come up to the stage.
She's also an officer of the Music Club of the University together with the other 4 members.
They are the official Band of our University.
Lagi silang tumutugtog sa bawat event ng school. Sometimes they get invited to another school to play too.
They are popularly known as — The Queen's Band.
My attention caught when Mavis started speaking.
"Hi! Everyone. Are you guys ready to hear amazing songs and music from our participants this year?" She asked the crowd with her deep warm voice.
"YESSSSSSSSS!" The crowd responded with excitement.
"Alright! I hear you guys. But before that, I wanna ask; Pwede ba ko mang harana saglit before we start the Battle?" She asked again giving the crowd her smiling face and smiling eyes.
"Gosh! That alone for sure can entertain the crowd"
I whispered inside my head.
"YESSSS!!! OFCOURSSEEEEEE! PLEASEEE!!
IKAW NA YAN EHHHHH!!!" The crowd went wild and crazy over her and their scream became so loud that it almost break my eardrums.
So I covered my ears subtly so no one will think I'm a KJ. But honestly, gusto ko na talagang mag simula yung event para ma-meet ko na si Ms. Red Sticky Note at makaalis na ako kaagad dito. Medyo di na kasi ako komportable sa ingay at dami ng tao.
They were all happy and cheerful as they get to hear Mavis Lim serenades the crowd. Not gonna lie she have a good voice— I happened to hear it before.
"Alright!! Thank you. This one's a very special song for me because ahmmmm I found a new friend and this song is one of her favourite. I hope she's here."
Mavis started to look around the crowd.
"Hey! If you are here come step forward but if you're shy it's okay, you can stay where you are, just know that this song is for you." She confidently said.
"Awwwww!!!! Ang swerte naman!!! Kami din!! gusto din namin maging new friend mo!!" Hiyaw ng mga estudyante sa likuran ko as if Mavis could hear them from where we are.
Hindi ko naman binigyang pansin pa 'yun, coz hello?
That's Mavis Lim.
They even call her "Ms. Congeniality" sometimes, because of her being friendly to everybody, being approachable and helpful and all.
She's a total package to be a friend or to be a girlfriend.
Lahat gusto syang maging kaibigan all the more reason why I don't want to be associated with someone like her.
