He looked at the box in his hands.
It was small, carefully wrapped in brown paper, tied with a thin lilac ribbon. Nothing flashy. But it screamed her. There was even a faint doodle on the corner-an attempt at drawing a cricket bat that looked like a toothbrush.
Of course.
He untied the ribbon slowly.
As the lid opened, a familiar scent rushed out-lavender.
The exact scent she always wore. The one that lingered in the air even after their video calls ended.
He inhaled it. And smiled.
Inside, resting like treasure, was a sleek black thread bracelet. A silver cricket bat charm glinted under the sunlight that streamed through the slats of the pavilion wall.
"Nazar bhi, fashion bhi," he whispered, already picturing her smug face.
Tucked underneath was a folded note.
Her handwriting. Looped, slightly chaotic, and full of drama. Just like her.
He opened it.
