"Lost Symphony"
By: Reign R.M.
Once a match made in heaven, just me and you,
Crowds marveled at our bond, like we were the chosen two.
They said we were meant to be, just us two,
No one else could compare, we were the perfect duo.
They called us the brain and the brawn, the muse and the drawn,
In every poem, every painting, you were my dawn.
Your cheerleader, through victories and defeat,
I supported you like no one else could compete.
Words would escape me when you were near,
You'd say your knees went weak when I'd appear,
I'd say everything was monochrome except you,
Crowds would cheer, but only my voice would ensue.
You were my angel, the bearer of joy,
Once in my life, ensuring my smile wasn't coy.
I was your queen, your source of delight,
Once the reason for your laughter, so bright.
You were the colors in my canvas, vibrant and wild,
And I was your muse, your inspiration compiled.
You were the words in my poetry, sincere and true,
Never good with words, but your eyes, they knew.
I saw love in your gaze, a comforting warmth,
Now I shiver in the cold when your gaze comes forth.
My crown shattered as you broke my heart,
Now I walk alone, my soul torn apart.
I cried out to my angel, but you turned away,
Just like the friends who chose not to stay.
Your friends stabbed me, twisted the knife,
Just like they twisted the truth, causing strife.
I was painted the villain, but I thought you'd see,
Through the twisted lies, hear my plea.
They said we were meant to be, but we were meant to break,
A broken trust, a broken heart, a painful ache.
The queen lost her crown and her reputation,
The artist lost her colors, her heart a desolation.
The poet lost her muse, her words now sharp knives,
I lost my angel, and each day, a part of me dies.
