PART 14 | OLD FRIENDS [REUNITED]

She stared at me for a few seconds and sighed.

"Well some people don't come back the same, Alli" Says Mavis while looking away from me.

"But not for you, I'm still your Moo. okay?" She added trying to catch my gaze again.

"Tara na, iuuwi na kita." She said while trying to remove the lV tube connected to her hand.

"Ha?" I asked.

Natigilan naman sya at tumingin sakin.
"I— I mean, iuuwi na kita sainyo."

"Ahh Hindi na, nagpasundo na ko kay Dad. And it's the weekend na, your rest day starts now. Magpahinga ka d'yan." I answered.

Mavis doesn't celebrate her birthday because it was also her parents death anniversary.

I feel like she doesn't feel like celebrating it this year also, lalo na ngayong may sakit sya.

"Hmmm, I know you don't celebrate your birthday, pero may utang kang dinner sakin. Let's have that tonight and I am not taking a "No" for an answer." I said firmly because I want my bestfriend back so bad.

I stood up, ready to leave.

Natigilan ako dahil biglang namatay ang ilaw, and for pete's sake Mavis' room is by the end of the hallway so it was kinda dark.

I panicked as I remembered being captive in a dark room before.

"Nooooo! Please!!!" Hagulgol ko sa sobrang takot na nararamdaman ko.

Naramdaman kong nagmadaling bumaba si Mavis sa higaan at hindi alintana ang sakit na nararamdaman nito kanina.

"It's okay Moo, I'm here." Sabi pa nito habang ihinaharap ako sakanya ng marahan.

I couldn't see her but I could feel her warm minty breath and her gentle touch over my clothes carefully avoiding touching my skin. She's stroking my back gently, at pilit na pinapakalma ako.

"Sorry! Sorry! Di ko alam na andito si Alli, Isu-surprise ka lang sana namin." Sheena explained when she turned on the light back.

She's holding a birthday cake and she's with her parents. Kaagad naman akong nahimasmasan.

It's so nice to see familiar faces.

I noticed Sheena's doing a peace sign so I looked back at Mavis. She's glaring at Shee.

I find her cute but I have to tame her. Ako na ang nahihiya kina Tita. I turned around to face her so she can see me instead.

"Moo? Stop that. I really need to go, may kasama ka naman na." I said.

Kinuha ko na ang bag ko at nilapitan sina Tito at Tita para magmano.

"Hello po, Tito and Tita. Sorry po, Mauna na po ako."

Nagulat ako ng bigla akong yakapin ni Tita. Natigilan ako at narinig ko sina Sheena at Mav na sumigaw ng sabay.

Mav: Tita, No!
Sheena: Maaa! My God!

Nilapitan at niyakap ko na din si Sheena para isahang inject na lang. 

Muli kong narinig si Mav na nagsalita.
"Alli! What are you doing?"

Habang yakap ko si Sheena ay s'ya namang pagdating nina Cole, Gab and Loi.

Loi: Hoyyy! Sama din ako jan.

I don't know if Loi still doesn't know about me or she's just pretending, waiting for me to tell her myself about my condition.

I know Cole would somehow tell her a heads up.
