Time flew by, and soon it was only a week before the end of term exams. The less... academically gifted we're panicking and begging Yaoyorozu to tutor them. Most of the class sat together during lunch to try and theorise what the practical side of the test could be.

Mid-conversation, something knocked Izuku on the back of the head. It was Monoma's lunch tray. "Oh my, terribly sorry. Your head was so big I couldn't help but crash into it."
Before he can continue Izuku points behind him. "Kendo is coming."

Monoma stiffened up as the red head approached. "Is Monoma causing trouble again?"
Izuku shrugs. "Just being a little mouthy. Nothing unmanageable. I never got around to asking, how was your internship Kendo?"
"Oh it was great. I managed to get in with Edgeshot. Thanks for your recommendations, they really helped."
"I live to please and kick ass, and there aren't currently any asses to kick."
Kendo shoots a slight glare at Monoma. "I can think of one."

She turns back to the 1-A table. "But I heard you talking about the exams. I was told by an upperclassman that it's going to be like the entrance exam with robots."
Monoma turns to his classmate. "Kendo! You just gave away our intellectual advantage over Class A!"
"Actually she didn't."

Everyone turns to Izuku. "I interned with the principal, and while it's impossible to know WHAT he's thinking due to his intelligence, HOW he thinks is easier. He likes to subvert expectations, be unpredictable. I see three possibilities. Either it really is robots, it's officially robots but they plan on changing it at the last minute, or someone is blatantly lying."
Kendo holds her chin. "Two possibilities that aren't robots."

Izuku nods. "And only one of those possibilities where gathering information is relevant. It's easy to catch someone in a lie, but if they simply plan on changing it, it'll be impossible to tell until the day before at the earliest. They're testing us before the exam even starts. They want to see how we gather information but also how we react and adapt on the chance that the information is proven false. Everyone, give Kendo your numbers, we'll start a group chat where we can share theories and information. Both classes will have their sensory members on high alert for any sign of what the test really is."

A week went by, with everyone studying, adding to the group chat and desperately theorising. They couldn't get concrete evidence that lies were being spread, so it was either robots or they planned on changing the exam at the last second. And Izuku's money was on the latter despite everyone insisting on the former.

When the exam finally came, the whole class was escorted in their costumes by the teachers. They come to a stop near several buses and Aizawa addresses them. "You've probably collected what information you could, so I'll assume you already have a vague idea of what you're about to do."

Ashido raises her hand confidently for the first time since attending UA. "Yeah, it's gonna be exactly like the entrance exam! But Midoriya keeps saying you're gonna change it at the last second."
Nezu pops up from Aizawa's scarf. "Then Midoriya will be getting extra credit for being so blatantly correct!"
"...I'm sorry what?"

Nezu uses a strand of Aizawa's scarf to climb down and stand on his own. "Instead of robots, we've decided to take a more hands-on approach. You'll be split into teams of two and will be fighting one of our fine educators! Good luck!"

Izuku was, to his exasperation, paired up with Bakugou to go against All Might. After being driven to the testing ground, they were told their options to pass the exam were either handcuff All Might or escape through the assigned gate, and only one of them needed to pass through the gate in order to pass. Easy enough.

Izuku follows behind Bakugou as they move through the testing area. "So, what's your plan exactly?"
"I'm gonna fight him, obviously."
"...Kay. I'm going this way now." Izuku turns to walk down an alley. "Have fun getting internal bleeding."
"You think I can't win!?"
Izuku shrugs. "You wanna prove me wrong, go ahead."
