The Hero Killer was taken away and the Nomu that were left were taken out by the pros. Iida was lectured by Manual and Izuku called Nezu to tell him what happened. The next day, they were pulled aside by the chief of the Hosu police precinct and the heroes they interned under. Izuku was actually surprised Nezu could make it on such short notice with all his principal responsibilities.

They were both given a very brief lecture about the legality of what happened and were told that the whole thing would be covered up. The offical story is that they were saved by the pros in the area. Izuku was willing to live with that, and so was Iida.

During the final days of the internship, Izuku went back to UA with Nezu, where he, finally, managed to meet that pink haired telescopic girl from the support department. She was one of the obsessive types that didn't stop tinkering even if she was sick or injured, so he was lucky enough to find a few drops of blood on a few of her tools.

Side note, he was roped into being her immortal test dummy in his spare time. Some power armour she made him test actually twisted 180 degrees and ripped him in half. Maybe it was a good thing he agreed to this. Better him than some poor kid who could feel pain.

When everyone returned from their internships, many people thanked him for his suggestions. Yaoyorozu gave him the unfortunate news that nobody on his list had asked for her and she did her internship with Uwabami, a decision she evidently regrets.

He took note of Bakugou's haircut and deduced he must have chosen Best Jeanist. Ironically enough he was fairly high up on the list he made that would help Bakugou round out his skills since he was known as a rather polite hero that instilled the importance of dignity into his sidekicks. Clearly it didn't work in this case.

Kirishima lamented that his internship was just patrols and picking up litter with Fourth Kind and Tetsutetsu. "Hey, picking up trash doesn't seem too manly, but it's still important. A hero is still a civil servant."
"That's what Fourth Kind said."
"Then Fourth Kind is almost as smart as me. Now people can walk in the park without having to watch their step so they don't cut their foot on something and parents can play with their kids without worrying if they're gonna pick up some old garbage and eat it. I've even done a little trash collecting before coming to UA. Me and my dad actually cleaned up Dagobah beach."

Mina is taken aback. "That was you?!" She pulls out her phone and shows him an article. "That beach is the number 3 spot for couples now!"
Izuku points at the phone. "See Kirishima? Any act of civil service can be manly and heroic if it's done with the right kind of vigour."

Kirishima rubs the back of his head with a nervous smile. "Well damn Midobro, when you put it like that I actually feel a little bad for complaining so much during my internship. Hey, what if we got a group together after school to help clean up our neighbourhoods?"
Shoji shakes his head in his seat. "Only Midoriya could get someone fired up over picking up trash."
Sero snickers from his own seat. "Only Kirishima could get fired up over picking up trash."

Naturally conversations slowly drifted to the Hero Killer, where Kaminari made the misguided decision to call Stain "cool" in front of Iida. Realising the mistake, the electrical student tries to backtrack, but Iida interrupts him. "It's alright. He was a man of conviction, so I understand if people find him "cool". However, he chose to advance his cause by means of a purge, and that alone is in error."

He does his usual arm chopping. "And so, in order too, that people like me may not multiply, I shall proceed down the path of being a hero anew! Now class is almost upon us, so take your seats!"
Izuku walks up to Iida and puts a hand on his shoulder. "Good to have you back Iida. Thought we lost you there for a second."
Iida smiles. "It is only due to your efforts that I was able to find myself again. So, are we... good?"
Izuku chuckles a bit, patting Iida on the shoulder. "Yeah, we're good."
