While waiting for the results of his application, Inko was more stressed about it than Izuku was. The reason for his lack of worry was the fact that he wouldn't be too put off if he didn't make it into UA. He was certain that he did, but even so, vigilantism was always on the table.
When the letter that decides his immediate future did come, he took it to his room immediately, using his claws like a letter opener. When the envelope is torn open, a metal disk falls out.
When the disk rights itself on the table, a holographic projection comes out, showing a white bear/mouse/dog looking thing. "Am I a dog, a bear or a mouse? All you need to know is, I'm the principal." Izuku raises a surprised brow. He knew he passed, but a message from the principal himself was unexpected. "I suppose I should start us off with the news I presume you are expecting. Congratulations Mr Midoriya, you passed both the written and physical exams with flying colours, and even broke the all time record for the practical with 167 points."
Izuku pumps a fist in victory. "A quick analysis of how you achieved that score, so you can better understand our intentions at UA. Your initial score of 107 villain points was already very impressive, and well above the cut off mark. But there was in fact a secret set of points you weren't told about. Rescue points, points gained through aiding your fellow examinees. Running towards the zero pointer to aid Miss Uraraka was already impressive on its own."
'That must be the vomit girl.'
"But then after saving Miss Uraraka you proceeded to eliminate the threat entirely, earning you 60 rescue points. But now onto more serious matters." That didn't sound good. "I pride myself on knowing just short of everything, and your abilities reminded me of something I found quite some time ago." The hologram changed to a man in a leather hood smashing through tanks with bludgeons for fists before going back to the principal. "It would be much appreciated if you and whomever else has your "condition" could meet me a few days before the start of the semester to discuss a few things." The hologram shut off and the disk crackled and sparked as its internals fried themselves.
"...Uh oh."
Before school started, the two Blacklight carriers left the house with their own excuses, with Alex dropping his Hisashi disguise. On the way to the school, Izuku came up with another of his pseudo philosophy questions. "If I'm a sentient disease, and I came into existence because you fucked my mom, does that mean I'm technically an STD?"
"How the fuck do you come up with these?"
They thought entering the school would be the hard part with its infamous security, but the gate simply opened itself when they arrived. And soon they came face to face with the principal himself.
Sitting across from him, Alex starts the conversation. "You're lucky. Anytime before a hundred years ago I would have consumed you just for knowing my name."
"I'm well aware of that Mercer. Or would you prefer Blacklight? Perhaps DX-1118 C? I'm a man of semantics but philosophy was never a strong suit of mine, so if you could state your preferred identity that would be ideal."
Izuku holds up a hand. "Wait, technically we're both Blacklight so that might get confusing."
"No, I'm Blacklight. You're Blacklight Junior."
"Junior?! Why can't I be Blacklight and you're Blacklight Senior?"
"Because I said so."
Izuku rolls his eyes. "How original."
A cough puts their attention back on Nezu and Alex shrugs. "Just Mercer is fine."
"Wonderful! Now, I'm sure you're aware I can't simply let sapient pathogens wander about my school without any assurance."
Alex narrows his eyes. "Let me guess. You want the formula to some chemical weapon you can use if we ever go off the rails."
"Oh nothing that extreme. While the government made an attempt to paint a very poor picture of you, I'm well aware your only conflict was with those who attacked you first. Your word is good enough for me."
That catches Alex off guard. "Seriously? Your only plan for dealing with people who can kill millions by breathing too hard is... making us promise not to?"
Nezu sits with his paws folded together, a glint in his beady black eye. "You say that like it's an unreasonable demand."
"It's not, but..." Alex sighs, giving up on trying to understand the 300 IQ rat. "Fine. I haven't been contagious for the last 200 years, and I don't plan on starting now. Kid?"
Izuku shrugs. "Killing everyone kind of goes against the hero thing, so sure."
"Perfect. I look forward to seeing you attend UA Midoriya." With that mess out of the way, it was finally time for school to start.
Izuku stands before a giant door with 1-A written on it, wearing a UA uniform made from his own biomass, Although it was altered to include a hood. He was considering making it his signature look. 'They must have giants at this school. I wonder what genes I might be able to get.'
Going through the door, he's met with an interesting sight. "Get your feet off the desk! It is disrespectful to the people who made it and the students who came before us!"
"Fuck you four eyes!"
The walking plague rolls his eyes, not surprised that Bakugo is causing trouble almost immediately. Before he can silently make it to his seat however, he gets noticed. "It's you." The blue haired glasses kid walks up to him. "I am Tenya Iida from Someii Private Academy. I must ask, what is the process to have your uniform altered? I don't believe I've seen it before."
"Oh, this isn't an altered uniform. It's my body." Black and red tendrils spread over his head and disappear the hood before bringing it back again.
Before Iida can comment on that, a girl with pink skin and horns speaks up. "If the clothes are part of your body, are you naked right now?"
Izuku answers while Iida splutters at the inappropriate question. "Officially no, but technically yes."
Before anything else can be said about that, a familiar voice comes from the doorway. "I recognise that hoodie. Tentacle boy!" A particular large student with extra arms gives Izuku a confused look at the statement.
Turning to the door, Izuku sees the brunette he saved. "And you're the girl who yarfed."
She blushes, pushing her fingers together. "Aw jeez, is that how you remember me."
"Hey, you remembered me as tentacle boy. We didn't exactly introduce ourselves. I'm Izuku Midoriya by the way." He says the quiet part to himself. 'If only legally speaking.'
"I'm Ochako Uraraka."
Before she can say anything else, Izuku puts a finger to her lips, sniffing the air. "What smells like burnt coffee and broken dreams?"
"That would be me."
Everyone in the room turns to the source of the new voice to see a giant yellow caterpillar inching along the floor. It stands upright and opens itself, revealing a homeless man sipping a juice box. "I'm Shota Aizawa, and I'll be your homeroom teacher." He tosses some blue clothes into the centre of the room. "Put these on and meet me outside."
Izuku was of course the first one outside since all he needed was a half decent look at the clothes and he could simply mimic them, albeit with the hood still present. When the rest of the class followed him to the area their teacher was waiting for them, they had their immediate fate explained to them.
