Chapter 7

“I'm pregnant.” There… he said it… it was out… it was real. He dropped to the floor and started crying as Lucie patted his back to try and calm him down. She had never really seen someone so upset over a pregnancy before. Something bad must have happened to him to have him like this. 

“By whom? There are no Alpha’s here… unless? Wait… the party… don't tell me… did Pond?” He just shook his head, unable to say anything through the choked sobs coming from his chest. 

“Lucie? What is going on here? Dunk what happened? Why are you on the floor?” Joong stood in front of the pair and leaned down to see what had happened. Dunk could only look up at Joong, crying harder as he stared back at the cause of his suffering right now. 

“Sir… I think the poor boy might have been assaulted at the party a few weeks back. I don't know what happened but… well sir… Dunk says he's pregnant.” Joong stared in awe at the boy who seemed to shrink down even further into the floor. How? That night… that night he slept with me… a Beta can't get anyone pregnant so how? Did the kid sneak out and do it with someone else later? No… he couldn't have… so that means… he must have already been pregnant when he came here maybe? So was that it then? Was that why his brother had sent an Omega boy to live at his estate? Was it really what his brother did? Was the kid some secret mistress that John had and when he got the kid pregnant he didn't know what to do and sent him here to hide him from the family? But why would he do that? Or maybe it was this kid who planned things all along? Joong wanted answers but he needed to talk in private. He didn't need Lucie hearing things and spreading it out to the world. Joong grabbed up the lifeless boy and dragged him into a room, slamming the door before Lucie could follow. 

“Start talking, kid. What is going on? How did you end up pregnant? What is your game?” He pressed the frightened kid against the wall and growled out his questions. Dunk stood there, tears streaming down his face. Unable to speak. 

“Was this some kind of scam you and my brother were trying to pull? Pawn his damn spawn off on me to raise cause he didn't want it? Or what? You figured you would sleep with me and pretend to get pregnant by me so that I would give you hush money? Or are you not even pregnant and are doing this to try and make some deal? Then you will pretend to lose the baby later. Which is it then? Huh? And don't tell me that I am the father because I have news for you kid, I am a Beta. That's right. I guess you didn't do your homework did you? You figured if my brother was an alpha then I must be too since I was his twin? Well too bad for you huh?” Joong was angry. He was angry that he even thought about trusting this damn kid. That he had been so soft hearted with him and even slept with him. He knew it was going to backfire on him somehow. He knew not to trust him. Even now as Dunk stared at him in disbelief, tears flowing freely, he couldn't help but feel the pain. Dammit, why. 

Dunk felt like he had been punched hard in the chest. Was Joong really asking him this? How could he think that Dunk would do something so underhanded. He had spent months with John… had tried to get pregnant with him just to make his family happy, to make John happy. And when he couldn't do it he was tossed aside into this unfamiliar place. A place that he felt safe enough to be himself. With a man he thought was caring and safe. He let his guard down around Joong. It was Joong's own Alpha pheromones that had caused Dunk's body to go into heat. It was Joong's scent that drove him to seek him out, to sleep with him. Sure Dunk didn't fight it all that much but he didn't think he really had a choice. It just happened. Now Joong was accusing him of being the bad guy? Was he really blaming him for this predicament and not taking any responsibility? He couldn't actually believe after everything that he was actually a Beta. No… Dunk wasn't going to stand for it. This was too much. He wiped away the tears and pushed Joong back away from him, shoving him hard and taking a step forward.
