For as long as Dunk could remember he had always been a weak person. From the moment he was born, to the moment it was revealed he was an Omega, and even now as he stood before the person he was supposed to mate with, it had always been the same. He was weak. He was useless.

Dunk was born into a noble family of proud Alphas. The lineage went as far back as anyone had cared to date it. In all the bloodlines of his Aunts and Uncles each had produced valiant and strong Alpha heirs that made the family proud. But not him. He was the outlier, the weak link if you will. The first Omega to break the chain. It was inevitable for sure, but it was not celebrated. It was not talked about. His birth was a source of shame to the noble family. A dark mark on their perfect record. He was fairly sure that had it been legal, his mother would have drowned him in the river to hide her shame. This meant that from birth Dunk was treated poorly. Taught that he was a shameful child and should do what he could to redeem the family honor. So when he was told that he would be the partner to a high ranking Alpha from a prominent family line he accepted it without complaint. He knew that his only worth in life would be to produce an heir and continue the bloodline in hopes that he would have an Alpha child and correct the blemish he created in their perfect world by simply being born an Omega. This was his life. Being tossed over to an uncaring mate with no more than a don't cause shame on us.

The only person in his life that had ever cared about him was the butler he had at home who would often watch over him when his own mother couldn't bother. But the day he was sent to his new home he had to say goodbye to his only real family and now he was truly alone. He dearly missed Alfred. This was the nickname he called the butler who practically raised him, though it was not his actual name. He called him that because of a movie he watched once as a kid and the butler resembled him so much. He missed Alfred, even more so as he stood listening to the tyraid of his uncaring ward.

“This is the third month, Dunk. Three months wasted on trying to conceive. Three months of your body refusing to produce even the thought of a child. The doctors have checked you and there is nothing wrong with you. So what? Is it me? I am an Alpha. I highly doubt that I am the reason we are unable to conceive. The doctors said I had very strong genes and would produce a powerful heir.l Do you know how embarrassing it is to have to explain to my parents, to your parents, that it's not happening? It's maddening. It's disgusting, Dunk. Do you get that? How am I able to show face when all I am ever asked about is if you are pregnant yet? I don't know what more you want from me.” He stomped around the room throwing a fit as he had done many times before. From the first moment he had met Master John he knew this man was a rotten seed. The thought of having a child with him filled Dunk with a dread that lingered in his mind each time they laid together. Maybe his disgust at this vile man's touch caused Dunk's body to reject him. Could that even happen? It must because even after 3 months, multiple tests and assurance from doctors that I would have no issues… nothing happened. Dunk's attention returned back to the current tantrum as a shoe came flying by his head, narrowly missing him and thudding unceremoniously against the far wall.

“At this point I am done. I need a break so I am sending you off to work at my brother's estate. Lets see if a little humility will humble you and make you more susceptible to seeing things my way. Back a bag. You are leaving tonight.” John barked, not even turning to look at the cowering Dunk.

“For how long?” He asked timidly, not that it mattered, but it was the only question he dared to ask.

“Does it matter? Fucking rot there for all I care. You are useless to me if you can't even get pregnant. Not like the sex was even worth it. Damn untrained virgin. Get out of my site and don't come back until you figure out how to ovulate properly.” He threw a bag at Dunk before storming off and leaving him to fit the miniscule bits of clothing and other items into the small bag. It's fine, Dunk thought to himself. Even if John's brother was just as bad, at least he didn't have to be forced to lay with him every night. Dunk could still feel John's hands roughly forcing him down as he took him, not caring how he felt. No, this was better… right?
