"Why did you drag me here? I was in the middle of a good dream, you know. Your phone call killed it man. What is so damn important anyways." Khao shifted against the desk that sat in his small office and sighed.

"Come off it Khao, you weren't busy if you were sleeping. Stop being annoying and listen. I need you to look into someone for me." Joong handed an envelope over to Khao and he took it, giving Joong a curious stare. He opened the package and pulled out the contents. A picture of a tall slender kid and an info sheet popped out at him. Dunk Natchachi. Why did that name sound familiar? Wasn't that a noble family or something? What did Joong want with a kid like that? Was he finally looking into settling down? Huh what for? Not like a Beta boy can do much. I mean, they could have sex. But why would he want a noble for that? Seems troublesome really.

He pulled the page out further and saw that Dunk was supposed to be the mate of John. Ah... that made more sense. His brother got himself a new toy and Joong wanted to know if this kid was trying to sneak in and grab his fortune huh? Smart.... But why would he care about his brother's affairs? Eh whatever. Money's money man. He would let the questions be and find out what he wanted to know.

"Find me everything you can on this kid. I want to know who he is, where he came from, what his family is like. Why he was sent to my brother's estate and why my brother sent him to me. Whatever else you can find." Ah so the pieces come together more clearly. Khao smiled and stuffed the paper back inside. He could probably guess something underhanded or sneaky was at play. If it was out there, he would find it.

"I am having a gathering in 3 days at my house. A lot of the vultures that serve my brother will be there. I am certain either the kid is a spy sent by my brother or, at the least, he is there to keep an eye on my affairs. I need to know something by then. Can I count on you to get it done?" Khao looked at Joong and frowned.

"Dude... 3 days? I am good but even I'm not that fast. Give me a week at least. Fishing up buried information takes time."

"Have First help you then. I will pay double if you make it a priority." Khao smiled and sat atop the desk.

"You hear that First? That's a lot of money. You up for it?" First yawned and stretched from his place on the couch and sat up to finally acknowledge the pair.

"Are we invited to your little party?" He asked, grabbing a bottle of water and chugging it down. He wiped his mouth with the back of his hand and stood to toss the empty drink in the trash.

"You actually want to go? You know it's just gonna be a bunch of stuffed shirts. A room full of Alphas pretending to be all powerful and self righteous. A pair of Beta's like us would just be in the way." Khao turned to talk to First, forgetting the original agenda for small talk as he always did. That was always how these two were. Khao and First were a prime example of two guys who took what they were given and made something of it. As Betas they were born sterile. But just because you got handed a raw deal at birth didn't mean you were worthless. These two found each other and paired up. Now they work for whoever pays them, gathering information on anything from cheating husbands to government secrets. If the information could be found, they would find it... for the right price. Joong trusted them to get it done and fast. That's why he was willing to pay the price.

"I'm up for it. I was bored anyways. Now... what are we finding?" Khao rolled his eyes and handed the envelope to First.

"Don't worry Joong. We will get what you need. Give us a week and we will have his entire life and half his family as well." First pulled out the picture and whistled loudly.

"Damn he's kinda cute. You sure this little cutie is a spy? Hell, I would tell him all my secrets if he smiled at me like that." Khao smacked the back of First's head and sighed.
