Dunk's eyes opened slowly to the morning sun glittering through the window. He had finally been able to fall asleep but the constant tossing made it feel like he hadn't rested at all. As he sat up in bed he felt like his body was hotter than usual and he worried that he might be getting a fever. He really didn't want to get sick... not right now... he needed to help with the party. He couldn't let Lucie down. He didn't want to seem weak in front of everyone either. He just had to get through the day. He would be okay... he hoped.
He stood and walked over to the bathroom, looking at his half disheveled face in the mirror before climbing into the shower to try and wash off the aching feeling he felt all over his body. It wasn't a painful feeling really. It was more like a pressure pressing inside him. He had never experienced anything like it before so he had nothing to compare it to really. Maybe like a stomach ache? But... lower? He sighed and let the water hit his back, massaging his hips and giving just a little relief from the feeling. It felt good but sadly he could not live in the shower. He was sure that Lucie was already bustling around like a mother hen and he didn't want to keep her waiting alone. He turned off the water and pulled the towel over himself. He was so tired... and the bed looked so inviting... he almost crawled back into it but bee lined for the closet instead. Forcing himself into the cute little outfit Lucie had got especially for this day. A pair of burgundy slacks, a white button down shirt and a pair of suspenders made him look young and charming... he felt like a child being shown off by his grandmother or like the princes he read about in fairy-tale books his butler had given him when he was younger. He added the matching burgundy vest and pulled on the tailor made jacket that had been pressed just the night before.... Why did he feel like he was going to another matchmaking party? Maybe it was because he always had to dress up just to impress high ranking Alphas who never gave him a second glance... or maybe it was simply because the only time he wore anything nice was to show off for someone else and never for himself.
He sighed and adjusted his cuffs before taking a deep breath to calm his nerves. Time to go put on a brave face... He gave himself a nod and planted the all too familiar smile before stepping out the door to find Lucie. Je was as ready as he ever could be, he just hoped he would be put somewhere out of the way... he really didn't feel well. That feeling only intensified as the scent of Joong swarmed around him when he left the calm of his room. He paused for a moment to steady himself as a wave of dizziness hit him in the gut. What was wrong with him? Was Joong's scent always this strong? Why was it affecting him so much now? Could it be because Joong had not been around for a few days? No... Dunk could feel his presence even in his absence. His scent was in every corner of this place so it's not like he was ever away from it. Maybe it was different when Joong was actually here? But then why was he not affected like this the first time they met? Ugh... it was all so confusing. He didn't have time for this right now.
He pushed himself off the wall he was leaning against and made his way down to where Lucie was barking out orders to the crew as they moved around like worker bees in a hive.
"Good morning, Miss Lucie." He greeted her softly.
"Oh good morning puppy. Did you sleep well?" She turned to him and paused, her face turning to a frown. "Oh sweetie. You don't look too well. I guess you had a rough night then?" She walked over to him to rub his back and he simply nodded his head, too tired to even answer her.
"Come on, my little puppy. Let's get you some breakfast.. See if we can't get some energy back in ya." She grabbed his hand and pulled him towards the kitchen. Alberto also gave a comment on his state but Lucie hushed him and grabbed a small bit of orange juice and some fruit. Something small. He was grateful but he didn't feel like eating. Still he drank the orange juice and it did help a little. He tried a piece of the fruit but thought better of it when he felt his stomach protest.
