Chapter 7

“Okay and at that time did you have sexual intercourse with anyone, protected or not?” Dunk cringed at that question. He didn't want to but he had to tell the truth. 

“Umm.. yes… once… unprotected.” He felt dirty saying it out loud even though there was really nothing dirty about it. Still he felt like people would judge him if they heard it. 

“Okay then. Do you have any history of medical issues that you are aware of?” 

“No sir. At my home estate I received regular check ups and there were never any issues.” 

“Okay then. Go ahead and lie down and I will examine you.” Dunk did as he was told and the doctor checked his blood pressure, heart rate, listened to his abdomen and chest. Then he did an internal exam. Dunk hated that one. He always hated when someone put their finger inside him… well except for one time. But he didn't dare think of that right now. 

The doctor finished that examination and took a small sample of blood which he carried into the other room to have checked. Dunk was able to get dressed then and now all he had to do was wait. It felt like hours before the doctor came back into the room to talk to him. 

“Hello again Mr Dunk. Have a seat and we will talk.” Dunk sat down in the chair opposite the doctor and crossed his legs nervously. 

“So I did an examination and I did a full blood work panel for you. I know exactly what is ailing you my child.” The doctor said with a smile. 

“Is it bad?” Dunk asked, a look of worry on his face. The doctor only chuckled and replied. 

“Well I guess it depends on your perspective my boy. You see, you're pregnant. Congratulations.” Dunk stared at him as if he hadn't heard him correctly. 

“No… that can't… I can't…” Dunk was in shock. How had this happened? The only person he had slept with was.. sir Joong. The Beta… the Beta that smelled like an Alpha. Dunk had suspected that he was pretending to be a Beta. But his mind was not thinking straight that night. Oh god… he really was pretending to be a Beta after all then. Did he trick him? Was that John's plan? Send him over to Joong's estate to try and get pregnant by him and then send him back to John with a child so he can claim the kid as his own? Was he just used for someone else's gain? Is that what this was? No… he refused to believe that. Joong did not seem like that type of person. It must just be a misunderstanding or he didn't know… maybe Joong didn't realize he was an Alpha? But was it Dunk's place to break this news to him? Well not that he could hide it. He was pregnant with his kid after all. If he stayed here for any amount of time it would become pretty damn obvious. Plus, Joong had the right to know even if he didn't want to. 

“I would suggest getting with your Alpha mate and planning your doctor's visits as soon as possible. That way you can be on the correct parent planning right away to ensure a healthy pregnancy. As for the morning sickness,  I suggest crackers and some light tea to help settle the stomach a bit. Avoid spicy foods, it will make it worse. Good luck little one.” He stood up and guided Dunk back to where Lucie was waiting. The look on Dunk's face gave her even more worry than it had before. 

“Baby what's the matter? Why do you look even more pale? Was it bad news? Are you okay?” She gave him a once over as he stood there trying to come to terms with what he had been told. Pregnant? Him? Now? He had been trying for months and never even had a pregnancy scare… How did one night with that man go so wrong? 

“Dunk? Honey? Talk to me, puppy. What is it? You can tell me anything baby. I promise I will be here to help.” He turned to look at her with a small tear in his eye.
