<Xavier's p.o.v>

I really didn't know what to do with Hope.

She was so stubborn.

I just wanted to help her.

But she wouldn't let me.

I groaned in frustration and kicked the side of my bed.

I immediately regretted it, though, because a searing pain shot up my foot.

I sighed and started to get ready for school.

I just hope that Hope is there.

And that she's okay.

<Hope's p.o.v>

My alarm clock sent off and I groaned and turned it off.

When I was in the process of doing so, a shooting pain went all trough my body.

It was agony.

Then I remembered last night.

I had to stay away from Xavier.

I sighed and hastily started getting ready for school, hoping I could get out before Harvey was back.

I knew he told me not to expect him, but I just had to be careful.

I was nearly our of the door when it came bursting open.

Harvey.

With a few mates.

They stunk of alchohol, and I just knew it couldn't be good.

Harvey saw me about to leave and he grinned a drunk grin at me.

"Aaaaahhhh, just the person I wanted to seeeeee." He said to me, his voice slurred by drink.

My eyes widened.

This was not good.

I ran to the table and wrote on a post-it note one word,

School.

Harvey shook his head.

"Actuallyyyyyy, I was thinking that nobody would miiiiiiiiiindd if you took a day ooooooooooff." I bit my lip so hard that I tasted blood in my mouth.

I got the note and wrote;

The teachers might start asking questions.

Harvey shook his head.

"Fineeeeee then, kittennnn. But be backkkkkkk soooooooooon."

I nodded viciously and almost sprinted out the door.

I ignored the fact that my body was screaming in pain.

Great.

Now school.

Now, Xavier and Blake.

Now time to explain where I got all these bruises from and why I was limping.

I just had to avoid them.

Don't reply to their questions.

Just walk away.

I entered school, and Xavier was waiting for me at the gate.

Great.

Just great.

"Hope. You better tell me where you got those bruises from." I shook my head and kept walking- well, more like limping.

"Hope! Why on earth are you limping?!" I kept walking.

"Please, Hope, I just wanna help."

I shook my head in exasperation and got a note pad.

Please go away. I don't need your help.

It was Xavier's turn to shake his head.

"You clearly do! Look, you've got a black eye, whip marks on your back and I can tell you've injured your leg. Now don't you tell me that you tripped, because I'm not gonna take it. Now either you tell me or I'm following you to your house."

I shook my head.

I was not going to tell him, and he wasn't going to follow me to my house.

He could follow me to a house, but not my house.

I had a brilliant plan.

Xavier was never going to know the truth.

End of the school day.

Xavier was waiting for me.

Now time to put my plan into action.

I just have to aviod his questions on the way.

"So Hope, how's life at home?" He asks.

I know what he's trying to do, its not going to work.

I plaster a fake smile on my face, and put a thumbs up.

I just hope I am convincing enough.

It goes on like this, until I reach my 'home'.

Now its time to start acting the best I ever have in my life.
