They put the bomb in a random room, not thinking too hard about it, and Uraraka was in charge of guarding it since her zero gravity quirk would keep it out of reach as long as she didn't get captured. With not much else to do in their remaining time, they talked about their costumes.

"I think I should have been more specific. Skin tight isn't really what I had in mind."
Izuku shrugs. "I think it works. Anything clunkier or baggier would impede your movements in the air."
Uraraka rubs the back of her head. "When you put it like that it actually sounds kind of smart. What about your costume though?"
"It's not a costume. I actually made this using my biomass. I plan on putting the costume the support course made in a display case. This mask is my face and these eyes are real."

"Right, you shapeshift and stuff." She pokes at his chest, the odd material giving way slightly under her prodding, and feeling almost wet despite not leaving any residue on her finger. "What material are you replicating though? I don't think I've seen anything like it. Is it some kind of weird leather?"
"Actually that's just what my body is like."

Uraraka begins to look a little queasy. "You mean, that weird stuff is-"
"Basically what my insides are made of? Yes."
"That's... genuinely the most horrifying thing I've ever heard."

They hear the buzzer go off, announcing the start of the battle training. "Alright. Remember the plan. Float the bomb if someone comes in, and don't get caught." He walks over to the door. "In the meantime, try to get used to the fact I'm inside out."
"Saying it like that made it so much worse."

Wandering through the concrete corridors, Izuku looks for a sign of his prey. 'This would be a lot easier with thermal vision. Maybe I should ask Nezu to put some snakes in my next few bio-bars.' Then he catches something. A faint heartbeat. He stops in the middle of the hallway and looks around him, tracking the very faint sound, taking deep breaths through the olfactory sensors along his jawline. A perfumy smell. Narrowing his red eyes, he catches sight of a floating earbud inching along the wall. "There you are."

"Oh crap." The invisible girl made an attempt to flee, but in the face of Izuku's speed it was useless, and she ended up being pounced on and pinned down. "Kinky."
Izuku narrows his eyes. "That doesn't work on me. Now tell me where your partner is."
"Uh... no?"

Not one to waste time, Izuku punches the ground next to where he believes her head to be, piercing through the concrete. "TALK!" He forms his claws. "Or else."
Hagakure trembles in his grip. "Ok, ok! He went up the fire escape to search the top floors while I searched the bottom!"
"Hmmm, not a bad plan. Too bad I was your opponent." He wraps the capture tape around her, ignoring All Might announcing her capture. "Thank you for your cooperation."

Racing up to the top, Izuku managed to catch Kirishima before he could get to the floor with the bomb in it. This guy keeps talking about being manly and fair. He can use that to his advantage. With his claws away, he puts up his "gloved" fists. "Wanna duke this out like men?"

Kirishima's eyes bug out for a moment, caught off guard by the proposition before he smiles with a mouth full of sharp teeth, his skin turning into jagged stone. "Oh yeah, I'm down to pound!"
"Don't make it weird."

They circle one another for a moment, with Izuku making the first move and punching Kirishima in his bare chest. The redhead was knocked back a few feet by the impact and Izuku's fist came back covered in wounds that stitched themselves shut. 'Alright. That's what happens when I hit him. Now let's see what damage he can do himself.'

The next attack would have been too easy to dodge, but Izuku made a show of being just too slow and Kirishima's sharp, jagged knuckles actually took a piece of Izuku's biomass with them. He made a show of turning away and holding his face in pain. "You took a chunk out of my face."

"Aw man, I'm sorry bro. I thought your mask would-" he was cut off by a sudden uppercut that knocked him on his ass and before he knew it, the capture tape was around his leg as Izuku's face knit itself back together.
"Kirishima is captured! The villain team wins!"

Back in the observation room, All Might announces to the class. "Young Midoriya is the MVP for this round. Can anyone guess why?"
A girl with a black ponytail and...assets raises her hand. "It seems fairly obvious he was the one who made the plan before the round started and despite Hakagure's obvious advantage he was able to quickly locate her."
Said invisible girl leans towards Izuku and whispers to him. "That sniffing was a little weird, not gonna lie."

"Not to mention his tactics and extreme measures reflected the spirit of the exercise, that being a heroes vs villains scenario."
Kirishima looks off to the side. "Tactics isn't the word I would use."
Izuku gives him an incredulous look. "Are you seriously upset over a cheap shot? Real villains are gonna do a lot worse than fake cry and punch you in the face. They'll take hostages, they'll threaten civilians, come after your family. Your job is to make sure they don't get the chance. If you think you'll be able to fight fair every single time, you're gonna learn the hard way that that's not how life works."
He walks away and Kirishima clenches his first with tears in his eyes. "I wanna be mad but that was such a manly walk off."

Of course, Izuku's words were going to be proven very correct, very soon.
