Heaving a big sigh, Stevie Kline couldn't toss and turn in her bed any longer. She finally gave up on the sleep that obviously wouldn't take her, even after a long day of travelling. Glancing at her phone, she saw the time was 3:38AM on Friday morning. The Paramore song played into her headphones as she looked around the darkened room.
Stevie's family had taken a trip from New York to Utah to go skiing/boarding, and they'd gotten to their ski resort earlier that evening. After having a late supper, everyone retreated to their own separate rooms to wind down. Stevie in one, her 12 year old twin brothers Finn and Max in the next, and her parents in the last.
Her bedroom was beautiful. Large windows that showed off the view of the mountains and the huge balcony, plush carpet over a hardwood floor, a big cozy bed, and wood literally surrounding the entire room.

Deciding she no longer wanted lie in bed and rot, Stevie got up and went to her suitcase. She pulled out a plain black hoodie and a pair of light pink sweatpants. After pulling those on over her baggy shirt and sleep shorts, she slid her feet into her dinosaur-foot slippers, grabbed her phone and her room card, and slipped out the door.
