1 Week in Summer Vacation
————————————————————
The soft gush of wind ruffled up their hair as their glaze's shifts down the horizon on top of Riley's house. The sunset coated the skies with hues of pink, purple, and orange as the stars peeks from under the shifting blues.
As a literature major, Ocean always tries to look at moments like theses and think of ways in writing them, or just making short poets in his head with the scenery in mind.
"You guys know Mayweather highs?" Julie voice broke the easy silence that fell over the group as they watch the sunset, stretching her body down at her legs as she glances over at the others with a raised eyebrow.
Mayweather High was popular among the rich folk to visit at, mostly the teenagers and young adults to throw parties in their Airbnb or vacation homes. However, even though the place has hell of high modern rich neighborhoods, half of its population isn't rich whatsoever.
Living in the hood parts of the area, gaining the reputation all sorts of things about gangs and rich 'nobles' never making it out alive without being robbed.
With that in mind, Ocean glanced over at Julie with a raised eyebrow of his own; before darting his eyes over at Riley after what he said.
"Yeah, my uncle lives there" Riley exclaims.
"Where haven't someone in your family either been to or is currently living, huh?" he asks, Riley half shrug as he glazes up at the sky in a question look; crossing his arms with his brows pinched together, his cogs were turning.
He seems really deep in thought, Ocean noticed.
"Don't answer that, it seems your tiny brain can't handle that much steam pupping through" Ocean voices after a few seconds, gaining Riley to softly glare at him with narrowed eyes.
"Really, I saw the bolts falling out" Bruce picked up, a sly smirk as Riley darted his glare over at him as well.
"Yeah, that place is run by rich people to lessen the poor because they can" Charlotte exclaims soon afterwards, glancing over at Julie who hummed in response.
"My parents going there for business with other rich people, I didn't want to go with only my family, so do you all want to come with?" Julie asks, her eyes drifting to each of her friend's reaction with a slightly pleading look in her eyes.
Her parents want to go to that place that just announced deaths of 'their kind' back-to-back this year and the last? Ocean thought that was insane work, only making him assume that her parents want to be apart of that 'nobility' set in the city that the well-off people put in place for themselves.
That didn't fare well with the common folk. Ocean could understand, he wouldn't like it if someone came into his house and be disrespected because he didn't have enough money than the next.
