Victoria
What is Chase doing? Hmm? I take another step backwards and bump into some guy dancing with a girl. "Sorry!" I mutter, then walk a little bit farther away from Chase.
"Hey... Victoria." He calls softly, "Want to dance?"
Me? I see Annabelle spin around, eyes shining with tears. "Me?" I ask, "Or are you talking to another Victoria I don't know about?"
"Well, are you Victoria Brooks?" He asks hopefully. Aaah. BROOKS. The famous name. This guy doesn't like me! He just likes the name. Ehh.
"Yes. But I don't really want to. Sorry." I pretend to start to turn around, then spin back around, "Actually...!" I wait for him to hear me,
"Yes?"
"I think you should dance with Annabelle. Over there. You know her? Hmm? I do. Go away. Shoo, shoo. Over THERE."
The poor, bemused guy makes his way over to Annabelle. He taps her lightly on the shoulder, and next thing I know, they're dancing. YES!
"Hey, Mabel. WANNA DANCE?" I ask playfully.
"SURE!" We grab each others shoulders and sway in time to the the music. This school is going to be good.
